There's nothing wrong with coffee in moderation. My stepfather drank several pots of coffee per day. That's a fact. His cup was the whole pot and many of them. He lived to 85. He would've lived longer if it hadn't been for a brain bleed in the rear part of the brain. Sorry I don't know the correct terms or the name of the disease, but it had nothing to do with coffee. Personally, I'm far more concerned about over the counter meds like advil, Tylenol. My stepfather took Excedrin. These drugs can thin the walls of arteries over time. And yes, my stepfather was quite able to care fir himself and was clear up to his final year still drinking coffee and smoking cigs.
What do you know about Kava? I found out by accident, not to drink a cup of kava soon after a cup of coffee. Created bizarre symtoms, had to pray and get rid of the symptoms.
@@Chopper140do you know I've heard people quitting smoking, and having their dreams restored. My dreams have never left me. Whether I smoke or I don't, I still get vivid dreams
A lot of people are overworked and often can't get 7-8 hours of sleep a night so they use caffeine to cope. In a perfect world everyone would optimize their health but we don't live in a perfect world
A lot of people make excuses. Some people can't, but mostly it's excuses. People wanting to stay awake for whatever reason, be it spending time with family, video games, surfing the web, some project, work, etc. 9/10 times it's just an excuse and anybody whose honest would admit it.
Life is restored back to normal, a junkie is a junkie, coffee, soda, energy drinks, are all a fix the pattern of addiction and to be in absolute denial about it.
I love it, I need it....most days are 16 to 18 hour work days, I need it. It's how I can pay my bills and stay afloat, that's life...we can't have it all.
It gives you potassium too and helps you lose fat because you will need to do some work and that will make you move unless you drink coffee to sit in an office then you're f*ckd
dude I went two years without caffeine and then decided to try it again a few times. When I tell you that it feel like I am taking an actual drug that is exactly what it feels like. My sleep is off, I feel overstimulated, thoughts are not as deep and clear, I feel irritable, and everything just seems off! I am going back to living without it but It is fun to take a sip every once in a while not to exceed one to two days!
@@sameerroshan9542i dilute the coffee with a lot of water. It’s equivalent to a “sip of coffee” because I drink an entire cup of a tiny bit of French pressed coffee diluted with a full cup of hot water.
Well, I guess I must admit that I’m addicted to the smell of coffee. It’s such a pick me up for me! 😭 I mean I quit coffee entirely for a year and half 3 years back, but then decided to get back to it “once in a while” but that just never stopped and now I’m back in the viscous cycle again! 🥲🥲
It hasn't killed me yet. I'm 79, take no pharmaceutical medicines and I am active and busy in my studio all day long. I grow an organic garden and I work hard. I am a productive artist and a jeweler. I have been drinking coffee and tea all my life.
I drink one coffee a day at around 9-10am. I don’t add any sugar or milk to it. I believe this shouldn’t have any negative effect on my sleep and health.
@@elmaromero8585because when you try to stop and have to deal with headache, brain fog and irritability you realise how addicted you really are. For me it was similar to quitting smoking, your brain comes up with all these reasons why I should should just have one today or taper it down for another few days etc, that voice in the back of your head. Not saying everyone deals with it to that extent but I found it extremely addictive and I was only having one or two a day.
As long as you're not drinking it within 10 hours of bed time it's very healthy. It's healthy (increases life span) even if you drink it later in the day, but it may affect sleep.
@@elmaromero8585because there are better alternatives for his health. For example having an alkaline smoothie bowl , seamoss , Green tea. And many others are better than coffee , but atleast he doesn’t add sugar so well done for that part.
After watching this I got to admit I am addicted to coffee. I can drink 3-4 cups before it's 12 in the afternoon. When I wake up for work after a shower I'll have a coffee with milk At work I'll have a Expresso shot and a cappuccino mixed together twice and that's before 12.
there is a neuro science guy that says just have your first coffee two hours after waking up and getting some sun in your eyes first. ive been trying it
@@inesf9508 define moderate. 1 a day? If you've been drinking one cup a day for a long period of time, chances are you are an addict. You don't realise how addicted to you are until you try to give it up completely.
I grew up in a remote place where people from all ages drink black coffee after meal and I haven’t heard of anybody died of cancer, heart attack, stroke, or diabetes. Most of them are poor and eat rice and boiled vegetables from their backyards or tiny farms. Even when you go on house to house Christmas caroling local folks can only offer you coffee. You can just imagine how many times you take a cup of coffee but nobody had a problem. That was fifty years ago. Now their children are educated and have good jobs. Now they cook food with oil and can afford to eat more meat products. People are now sick with heart disease etc. So where is coffee as the culprit here?
Exactly ,back home in the philippines on the mountainous cities and municipalities ,they drank coffee all the time in their entire life 4-8 cups a day , and yet they are the strongest ,healthiest people , and less recorded dementia patients too , so i dont know what your talking about doc
Yesterday I was so busy that I didn’t have a cup of coffee. The migraine I had by not having it was INSANE. It made me realize just how dependent my body is on it and with that knowledge I absolutely need to quit…I just know I’m going to have a wicked detox period.
I felt this way, since i consumed black coffee almost everyday. I finally gets that it is a drug. Probably gonna decrease the consumption of it. Thanks for sharing i thought it is just me and my usual headache
I always walked around with a high heart and anxious in general, never thought the five cups a day was the reason. My rest bpm has gone from 90 to 60ish. Thats insane
The problem is that society almost relies entirely on people to have energy from coffee now. If you’re not sharp or alert at work you’re probably going to just been seen as lazy or not as hard working. Idk man
It's not fun when caffeine takes over control of you and you can't function properly without it, thinking it gives you the energy. Moderate use of caffeine is okay for me but you always have to pay off more then you took.
I don't know if the fat part is entirely true, because, speaking for myself, I don't end up eating a lot after drinking coffee. Most of time, I drink it in the morning and sometimes around lunch time and I end seeing myself skipping meals cause of it.
Coffee is a multi billion dollar industry. The entirety of the 1st world is addicted to it. Of course you're to see an endless stream of people saying they're never giving it up or trying to justify why they don't have to.
Man I get coffee and still take my behind to sleep working overnight for 18 years and taking about 16,000 steps a night you will go to bed! Also you have to make sure you go to bed at the same time also on my off days I get some exercise in brisk walking or rowing I haven’t had problem sleeping yet also it’s important to get some sunlight that’s why half the population has sleeping disorders being inside instead of outside if you can’t get sun in the area your in get vitamin D supplements if you can!
I believe there’s other issues at play that are not the caffeines’ issues at all. I take a cup of coffee every morning. I don’t take any more after wards. 6am - 12pm I’m great (good if I didn’t sleep well but I usually get 7 hours). Get off work at 4, either train BJJ at 6:30 pm or every other day I’m doing calisthenics 6:30 pm. I work outside and get more than enough sunlight. I don’t ever struggle to sleep at the same time and if I do, it’s usually because I chose stay up doing whatever it is I chose to do
Not giving up my one cup in the morning. Life is too short to be so restrictive. My parents, plus grandparents on both sides had coffee every morning. All lived into late eighties/early nighties. Stop fear mongering
Caffeine intake adds up throughout the day. Coffee, tea, soda & chocolate. Diet coke has higher levels than regular coke. Most drinks at Starbucks have Caffeine,. Even the refreshers. Caffine is an additive drug. These companies want your money. A good nights sleep is important for our health.
Studies have shown coffee drinkers live longer, prevents some cancers and boosts healthy hormones. Obviously you don’t want to drink coffee all day, 2-3 cups a day is acceptable as long as you’re not loading it with creamer and sweetener. For sleep, I thought it was common knowledge not to consume caffeine after 3pm.
Coffee does the opposite to me ,it makes me fall into a very deep sleep 😅.because of this very quick effect on my sleep, when i plan to stay awake for a longer period, i completely avoid coffee 😊
😂😂😂you sound funny without meaning it. I haven't had coffee in my twenties or even thirties because it would make my hands shaky and give me bad headaches. When I drink it it's rare like when I need to clean my whole house in a day, that sucker gives me so much fuel that I run fast all day through my house like a cartoon character and it does not stop for 8 to 9 hours.😅
I told my father , that only way to see how coffie is bad for you is to quit it for a 2 weeks, and then drink it again, and he got mad , because he drinks coffie 50 years, but i drink it for about 10 years, and i stopped, and i saw what coffie actually does to you, and he don't belive me
They felt better because they were no longer sleep deprived. Of all the classes doctors are required to take, they aren't required to take even an introductory level logic class
But it also increases adrenaline that gives you butterflies in stomach thats what makes it so addictive for me😭 idk about y'all but that's how it makes me feel
I know caffeine is not the best for me but I honestly just don't want to remove it. I'm not addicted, I can go and do go multiple days without drinking it, but I just don't care honestly.
Coffee makes me anxious, If I keep drinking it and my tolerance just keeps increasing eventually I'll need a dose just to become normal, definitely a drug. And let's just not bring the digestive issues and mood swings
I don’t get addicted to coffee so I don’t understand how is it addictive, i never feel like i need it. I only drink it when it’s available or when i need to work on something that needs focus
Im sorry but i can get 10 hours of sleep and still feel like im going to pass out at any moment from pure exhaustion, without caffeine i literally can not stay awake and risk a car accident or losing my job.... i don't understand what else im suppose to do xd
i just started drinking caffeine for the first time in over 2 years only a few weeks ago. so that argument really doesn't work, i only started a few weeks ago because without it i drag my feet all day and risk falling asleep at the wheel which has already occurred once prior to my consumption of caffeine@@jacobmartinez5263
Usually sleep apnea is accompanied by a few different symptoms like waking up with short breath or snoring, i struggle with neither of these. My best self diagnosis and internet searching is hypersomnia or hypoglycemia. I exercise regularly and eat a relatively clean diet as I generally only eat whole foods (meat and whole fruits and vegetables) as i have no insurance and am stingy I dont feel like spending a lot of money to find out the root issue when ive had previous poor experiences with doctors.@@lordmozart3087
I stopped coffee fir a week now. Kind of weird. No wuthdrawl symptoms. And for some reason my dreams are very intense. Weirdly enough my energie levels are kind of good. Anybody any explaination?
Caffeine consumption causes a reduction in REM sleep which is the stage of sleep where more vivid dreams that you can remember occur. When you stop consuming caffeine or any substance that blocks REM, you can experience "REM rebound" in which dreams are even more intensified than they would be normally.
I sleep 7-8 hours a night every night. Keep it below 400mg a day and I function just fine. I go entirely without maybe once every two weeks without even noticing if it's a light workday So I'd really like to hear your numbers for what counts as "too much".
@@novelaego2404 this is literally the only video I've seen on the topic You know you don't really get to choose what shorts shows you, right? I wish I could stop seeing conservative and Christian propaganda, medical misinformation, and dumb kids plastering their face over someone else's terrible trendy video, but youtube will show you it no matter what So may as well call out the grifters so they don't scam people.
80 percent of adults use caffeine. Humans have used caffeine for 10,000 years. I went off soda for 18 months and was depressed and couldnt think. Now i take a hydration powered with caffeine in it. Wow! Im back to old me.
Why arent you talking about positive effects? 1. It helps to reduce several cancers like liver and endometrial cancers 2. Positive effects on cardio vascular system 3. Proven to reduce central nervous system disoreders like alzheimers disease There are many more. Overall benefits of coffee drinking largely overweight negative effects
I have a neighbour which is 90 years old or more, he has morning routine to drink a cup of coffee and he's never drink more than a cup of coffee per day. As long as not too much it is okay he said to me
It literally is like oxygen. We as humans do need it. Without it your digestion can get unregulated and that alone can absolutely trash your system. I say this cuz this happened to me and caused sibo, leaky gut, anxiety. All cuz food was just chillin in my esophagus cuz I stopped caffeine thinking it would make me healthier.
Im about so stop drinking coffee, I dont feel good like there is something inside me that i want to destroy, it is the caffeine that I actually my body want to destroy. Caffeine makes cranky i used to play games with coffee, I didn’t play relaxed. Now i have vape coffee flavor so I dont need coffee anymore.
