In this video I am doing a cage clean for all 5 of my guinea pig herds. Most all my cages are C&C grids and one of them is a DIY shelf unit. I show how I spot clean, change out liter boxes, and do a full cage clean on my DIY cage. Thank you! Josh used to ask me to find a way to say it and I would try just to make him happy but I told him it just doesn’t feel natural and I don’t like it. People know what they are doing. They can subscribe if they want. They don’t need me to remind them. Plus I hate being told what to do, so I’m not telling anyone to do anything! 😉🙃💖✌🏼

Josh has tried to get me to say it so many times and it just doesn’t come out right. I guess because it’s forced and I don’t genuinely want to say it. So Josh used me arguing with him about not saying as a way for me to “say it” hahahaha. He loves picking on me with edits🙃🙄🤣

I would cry if this is the amount of cleaning I had to do for one cage. I’m so thankful my girls picked up on using the litterbox/hay bin. I spot clean only hay and pellets once a day and sometimes the occasional poop that falls out while they’re popcorning/zooming and wash their bath mats once a week. I also hear that fleece smells and couldn’t bring myself to spend $50+ on guinea dad liners that were going to eventually make my house smell too 🥴

I've used fleece for nearly 7 years and never had issues with smell if it's spot cleaned daily. But I don't use guineadad liners often so idk about those.

My fleece smells fine. I use a variety of beddings and while they all have pros and cons, the smell isn't a con for any.

Mine do the same with the laying in the hay and then peee, poo in it. So I cut a small plastic storage container and put cardboard taped on the cut edges. And now they can’t really climb and lay in there but still love to eat from there.

I actually picked out my hand vacuum from watching her channel 😅 it looked like hers worked amazing. I got the wrong one I got the $60 B&D bc I liked that it had the flip up brush so it wouldn’t pull the fleece up. It works really great has a lot of power but it dies REALLY quickly. You get about 30 mins

Your videos are very informative and very entertaining. Keep up the good work! And I don't even have any guinea pigs in our house. Us humans have been living with seven feathered family members (parrots), one of which has been with us since 1999. It is very clear that you love your animal companions very much too. Hope more people will make the effort to actually do research such as watching videos like yours before deciding to get these adorable little fluffies.

I have heavy food pots, I bought thrift shop lasagne dishes for the herd and they don't get tipped up! Heavy bowls are good and they don't get chewed! I would recommend hay bags, that is what I use for my guinea pigs and they love pulling some of the hay out into their litter bins to lay on and the rest they eat out of the bag, that way or doesn't waste very much hay

I use fine cut straw bedding what is really soft and have hayrecks. They nest in the straw so don't waste their hay anymore

What I do for my Guinea pigs “litter box” is my parents got a new shredder recently and they shred a lot of paper so I use that and then I shred construction paper to make it soft and then I make a pile of hay in the corner but I use a hay rack now she doesn’t mind she likes either lol I would recommend paper shredding for bedding.

My guinea pigs do the same thing! they always flip their bowls... but then I found these other bowl things that were super shallow and ceramic so they were too heavy to flip but also big enough so they can eat their food... something to try out

Great video! I tried using just fleece blankets with uhaul under it but I found it very messy. I love using fleece liners, which I buy on Etsy. I clean mine using the motorized handheld attachment on my Dyson vacuum. It takes off almost all the hair before I have to wash them. I also pick up poop by hand too because it's the fastest! Also, have you tried ceramic bowls? My girls never flip theirs.

Whenever I try to spot clean my piggies cage, the brush I'm using ALWAYS pulls the blanket and so I just go in with a plastic spoon and container and INDIVIDUALLY pick up the poo. It's a workout lol

I felt like a lot of hay was getting waisted by my piggies soiling it, too so I’m trying a new system to try and cut back on that but still keep my piggies happy. Every morning I clean their litter boxes and put uneaten hay in there, and fresh hay in the hay racks.

you can use shredded un dyed paper instead of hay and it is really absorbent and fun for then to burrow in (and its cheap)

I had the same food issue so I mixed the good stuff and the stuff they like and I get empty bowls yay! I do have hay lofts that are outside and they pullit through the bars and scattered it throughout the cages. They're lucky their absolutely adorable ya can't get mad.

I use the bissel handheld pet vacuum (it’s green or purple) from amazon and I just don’t put the attachment on it 😂 it sucks up the poop so well that way!!

Also I just want to say my bunny used to flip her bowl all the time but I found that it was because of a light plastic bowl so I definitely recommend getting a heavy ceramic bowl.

Love your videos. I have just bought those plaid liners on Amazon, they're great for high traffic areas. Wish there were more uk 🇬🇧 piggies videos, everything looks so much better and bigger in USA 🇺🇸. Keep up the great work and videos x

So tomorrow I’m getting my first ever Piggies! I’m so exited but I’m not really prepared. I did get some C and C cage grids of Amazon and I a fleece set of Etsy and I’ve set all that up and I also got some hay holders and a litter box. I just want to thank you for helping me so much, just watching your videos explains so much!

hiya just 2 let u know a bit about my little piggy I have 4 female Guinea Pigs called Mercedes ferry and ping and pogo I also have a Russian female dwarf hamster I also have a Syrian male hamster Calle peanuts I've just learned how 2 cut and trimmed their nails which I'm soo proud of saskia and allyssa for listening them 2 b able to do this now soo thanks 2 all of you I'm in the middle of moving houses sooo I'm getting them all new bigger enclosures but there ok just now with what I've got them all. sooo that's a bit about myself and my little furry hope 2 talk 2 u again soon.i like watching yourself you have bought me some helpful tips thanks your videos r amazing byeee. and your little furry r beaughtifull there sooo cuts cute sorry about the spelling mistakes byeee 4 now
