i absolutely love cage. his old, his new. i understand his new sound completely. i love getting more history, more meaning, and more soul in his music. i cant get enough.
Cage did NOT 'sell out', he's still on an independent label making music for himself and not for some sleazy major label record exec. He's still a real artist.

Cage is an undergroung KING. His style has change, but that comes with having kids, getting your grown man on. I'm loving it. I'll be at the show in Seattle in July!

Christ, Cage looks absolutely ghastly when he's rapping... I really sincerely hope that Cage makes it big. And with almost 500k views in less than a month, it looks like it's possible he'll accomplish it. Especially is LeBeouf is going to be staring as Cage in a biography of him... Nobody here can tell that this is a wonderful song. It goes into the mind of a psycho. The whole composition has a simplistic aura to it, which is frightening. This song doesn't embrace mother nature or technology. It embraces the nature of a lost mind. Its crazy.

That was beautiful; the seer wanting to show protection to this girl was haunting. Yet never will he never know it, for he was always a step behind. I like the creepy tone, and the video had effects that would be expected to be seen in a high budget movie. This artist is doing nothing wrong...they are just doing it their own way. @Mailorderwhoopass I agree I loved his old style. But I love this song in particular. This is as dark as most of his material. If you look and Ballad of Worms one of his best songs its dark in a literal sense. But I Never Knew is some next shit the story is fucking horrible/ evil!!!!

Who can't relate to this track? everyones seen that unattainable girl in the street. But this is what Cage does, he takes the ordinary everyday experience, picks it apart and produces shit like this. Yeah he changed his style but he's not a young kid anymore, heres matured and I think it works perfectly.

Okay, to all the people saying his new album is wack, and that you liked all his older albums because they were more raw due to his drugs and other such things, are just basically saying that you only like to hear raps about people doing drugs and other bad stuff :P If you were really a supporter of true rap, you would still be able to appreciate his new songs regardless of the lack of violent lyrics :P He still rhymes well, and tells an amazing story.
he's evolving as a musician,and in my opinion gettin better,im a fan of his old stuff,well,all his stuff really,and i think this is the best direction he cldve gone in,people jst need 2 except,things change,influences and intrests included,jst becos its different,doesnt mean its bad,if he kept bringing out the same stuff 4 years 2 come,it wld get stail.hopefully this will ecourage other emcees 2 get out of there comfort zones and get creative.
