I like all 3 because it's the style of rap I love most, not who owns the patent Cage Em Canibus Chino XL Copywrite RA the Ruggedman Apathy Celph Titled Etc etc
Em got popular after this but if he decided to rebuke I think he knew the risk was too big for his new found success, he murked just about every one else before/after this. Would’ve been dope to see how this played out
@@loyaltyabovealllawzco.lilw1232 not exactly, at the time it was a pretty common persona "angry white boy", I honestly think it was a coincidence that Em had the same style. After all he is the one who perfected it for mainstream music. No hate though, I like Cage as much as Em
@@duckmeatpigmeat406 it wasn't common till the mid 2000s dude there was ra the rugged man n cage give me a few more names that where actually doing that shit before 97
@@lilwoodiewood3457 umh slug from atmosphere, the whole weathermen crew is full of white crazies, em, necro I guess, eyedea or w.e he is called. I am aware that you said before the 97, but like I really doubt that people knew who cage was in 92 or some shit like that
@Mohamed Hassan Abu hussein it can be subjective but that dosent excuse the fact mainstream music has a advantage a huge one it dosent change the fact that there is no real hip-hop in the mainstream industry it dosent change the fact that eminem is a overrated biter like really people act like he's special he anit u got people like aesop rock eminem has no vocab people claim its huge what about aesop rock an krino never heard eminem say a word I had to google an I've heard every single eminem song eminem isn't a innovator like people claim his song writing ability isn't anything special it's just better then the rest of the mainstream industry and also people act like having slant rhymes or near rhymes that he does is special when that's normal for any real Mc I'm sorry but something I love has people controlling it an feeding the majority lies emimem knows who k rino is I guarantee I hate it when people say rapping ability is subjective that's only to a extent I think the person actually doing advanced bars is the true skilled mc an not the guy making Dad jokes
( *WARNING* ) This comment will be somewhat lengthy. But it is PACKED with interesting shit. If you're a fan of either of these Emcee's peep what I have to say. Real talk. So first of all no. I do not know how many BPM the beat is. Off rip. But you really think Cage won? Honestly? Is that just because you're more of a Cage fan though? Or do you have legit reasoning? I love both. A lot! And have been a fan of both my entire life. But obviously Em went on to do bigger things. Cage stayed underground & fell into obscurity even more. And they never straight up battled at all. Even though they were supposed to. And of course some say Cage was a no show. Meanwhile others say Eminem ducked the battle bc he knew he'd lose publicly. Theres a lot of conflicting information about this beef. This one in particular at least. But fr bro... It was crazy because yes Cage had some Ill ass tracks. He had some hard hitting disses & deep cutting blows. I don't blame you for believing he won. But the thing is that Em didn't even have to say much back to win. And the public still chose him as the winner. He still ended up taking the dub. Cage made multiple full diss tracks, had numerous lines about Em & shit & he also mentioned him from time to time. He did so for a good while. As Cage still claimed that Em bit his style & shit. On the other hand all Em had to say back to all that was "I bought Cages tape, opened it & dubbed over it.". And it was Em himself playing into the joke that he bit off of Cage. And the public sided mainly with Em. With only a few hip hop heads claiming they side with Cage. Usually more old-school style underground hip-hop/rap fans that is. The song with the Cage diss line I previously mentioned was in fact the infamous track "Role Model". It was on the Slim Shady LP. Eminem's debut studio album. The one that blew him up onto the scene. His first album to be produced by Dre himself. And on the very same album there was a skit containing yet another jab at Cage. It was a short comedy skit about an obsessed homosexual male. He was prank calling Eminem & being all perverted n shit. He was a deranged and reoccurring character in Ems music from then on. A character I'm sure many of y'all remember as Ken Kaniff. Ken Kaniff from Connecticut. 😂 Anyways what Em initially says to Ken Kaniff is "Who is this?... Cage?". Like I said he did not have to do much at all to come out on top. And that's just the truth actually. People literally saw him as an artist that was very much so superior as an Emcee. Prior to this & afterwards Em made about 1 or 2 more comments. They were lil spoken verbal disses aimed at Cage. Ones he said while live on air. Ones that got under Cage's skin... After all they were meant to throw shade & disrespect. But it was more so just throwing salt in Cages wounds. At least at that point. As Em was taking off & Cage wasn't. Cage was rapping even before Eminem. And he had established himself in the game first. He was the "Crazy White Rapper" with the edgy and often violent shock value & drug issues before Em himself was. He genuinely felt that Eminem bit off of him. Effectively completely copying him & essentially stealing what should've been his success. And so Em let his success speak for him. And at that point he really only threw occasional jabs. Like how in one of the instances on the radio Em spit a freestyle. And in his freestyle he went at Cage a few more times. Failry viciously for good measure. And in the end the masses hailed Em as the White King Of Rap & the overall Winner of the beef! Before he got so big that Cage likely fell off his radar completely. Let's be real. He didnt at that point actually need to go head to head with the manz Cage. He did not have to, need to or want to go back & try to prove anything. So there was no need for him to battle Cage at all anymore. And or to try to dwell on their beef. He was really literally skyrocketing. Meanwhile Cage was doing the same as always. Until soon he actually began to do less numbers for a while. He also at points (similar to Em) was dealing with drug related issues & problems. He started to go under the actual underground into the literal subterranean. Where only SUPER tapped in Hip Hop heads would (possibly) happen to find him. And he hasn't been heard of much since. But you think Cage won!? Have you heard everything (And I mean EVERYTHING) between them in the beef? Lmk. And if y'all read all this good look! Comment below what you think!
@@ometta7 bc eminem had that stupid awkward bet cypher with no beat where he raged at Trump in a parking lot. Im guessing OP just found this eminem diss and that Trump would appreciate being the fan of white underground rappers hes known to be...
@@MasterPlayerr1 Lmfao dude you're on acid you obviously know nothing about hip hop. Eminem is a biter and everyone knows thats a no no. Originality is key. Cage was more real than Feminem. Cage was actually a crazy nigga and meant what he said. Eminem was good for what two cds then he went pop? Lmfao gtfo smfh. FEMINEM is the boy band version of CAGE. Can't wipe Em off your chin can you?
In retrospect Eminem came out on top but I am a huge fan due to how long their beef lasted. CAGE is definitely an underground legend. I kind of dislike his new style of music. I have #MoviesForTheBlind on CD in my car.
@@MasterPlayerr1 ? Em doesn't even ever mention Cage in the dead mens he lists off. He knows they drew. Nobody won this. Em still looks like a biter, and Cage never popped.
Lmao why didn’t he do this to celph titled? Not only did celph beat him up physically and emotionally but also financially when he sold cage’s album and made over 20k and cage didn’t receive a penny
I remember the height of this beef , cage murked him hence why Em responded . I respect the fuck outta Em and what he has done for hip hop but I hate the narrative that he's the only white boy who can wreck a mic . Cage was a dope emcee the Agent Orange album is a certified underground classic . He got weird over the years though became some emo rapper and shit . This is the cage I fucked with though.
Same man, vintage cage was a savage and that narrative was rubbish. Dudes like El-P, Eyedea, Slug, Rugged Man, Copywrite, Ill Bill, Sage Francis etc can all hold their own against anyone in the Game.
@@brynekingg8745 It’s emo rap bruh. Nothing wrong with that, if anything he was the first one that made shit that sounds like what you’d hear from the Juice WRLD’s of the world and everyone after in today’s society. Eminem had no other choice but destroying bro in the court of public opinion cuz if people actually heard cage they’d see em was biting his whole personality on the low

@@12131AllDay also, em has elevated his game so much since this era but let's be honest, if cage would've linked up with Dre instead of Em, we probably woulda been getting dope shit from that era until now and wouldnt have had to suffer through encore to revival
Cage isn’t a good diss track rapper. This is better than and so kiddies but cage is too esoteric and metaphorical. Diss tracks suppose to be blunt and in your face and exposing the other person. Half the shit he says you can’t even understand without digging into it and the 3rd verse isn’t even about Eminem at all he’s on some other shit. Cage is better at displaying his tortured soul Vs dissing people. I give this diss a C-. The Quo line was funny though 😂
