I think its weird that I thought this was great music to skate to at night when I was teen and since I only used spotify I never saw the music video. Great way to clear your head.
Same! I skate, and was just thinking "this would be so good as the music for a video part", so I got on RU-vid to see if they had a video, (which I've never seen until just now) and was so stoked to see that the entire video is just cruising through the streets. So damn awesome. I'm going to go skate now, with earbuds, and flow to this song. 🤙
@@Jake-tq5tq this song is such a strong reason I’ve been able to get through life this last couple of months.. it’s crazy how this one song brings so many lonely people together
Nah man it hits me the same. I think about those who are truly dead and gone, but I also just think about it as if time and moments in the past are "dead and gone" as time expires.
I've been a cage the elephant fan for 5 years now and they have never let me down, but damn I wish they'd go back to this sound instead of the indie pop sound they've gotten now. I miss songs like Flow, I mean spiderhead is great and all but I just want more guitar solos and acoustic stuff.
Louis Cv I never really liked those songs. I mean I tried to appreciate them because I appreciate all art forms. But I guess I'm curious... what exactly did you see in those songs? My favorite songs of there's are cigarette day dreams, lotus, trouble, tony little robots, sweetie little jean, shake me down and there's gotta be a few more but those are the ones that come to mind. I mean I enjoy a lot of other light hearted stuff but those songs are so great because they offer such beautiful points of views about life. Especially cigarette daydreams. It's hard to write a song about sexual assault and they did it perfectly with Cigarette Daydreams.
The 'Cage The Elephant' songs are so pure and true. They are magical in their own way, their own style. I am, and a lote of people are, so blessed to have discovered this amazing band, with amazing music and amazing messages. Thank you Cage The Elephant!
Amazing that in our present time, bands like this do not achieve super stardom. People aren't listening to music anymore, but they'll be back when their spirits are withered and deformed.
This has almost a million views. One of their albums even went platinum. If you're going to be a hipster at least find a band without a huge amount of fans.
I wish this song could just keep going on and on, in a way it already does when it resonates so perfectly with the reprise version of Right Before My Eyes. Such a great end to a great album, makes me miss when things were so simple in 2011 for me and my biggest concern at the time was just getting this album to love it the day it hit store shelves.
I really adore this video. Sometimes you don't need a lot of fancy production or effects put into something to make it beautiful and stunning. The simplicity of this video is just what makes it so beautiful, and it moves perfectly with the song. You see the "flow" of the city moving by through street lamps and headlights, and he casual burning end of his cigarette. It's effortless, clean, and captures the chill of a city night perfectly.
Looking out my window Wonder how it came to be Feels just like a tempo Lifted by a gentle breeze Ugly as a suitcase I can see it stretch for days Hanging on a sunset Softly trampled by the rain Way too long Hold on Hold on Dead and gone So long Hold on Way too long Hold on Hold on Dead and gone So long Hold on So long Hold on
Geez I remember first hearing this song when I was 11 or 12 and it making me love cage even more they've have been one of my favorite bands forever now I turn 21 in a few months
i could be having the shittiest day of my life and this song will always make me feel better. i was skating and listening to this song and came home to see of there was a video and found this and was amazed haha. great job and keep up the good work. the world needs a band like you!
Imagine just going on the freeway with the windows down going to nowhere and listening to this song🖤 or going to the queen Mary and just looking out with the cold wind on ur face(in the night btw)
I listened to this song while driving by the ocean during a marvelous sunset. It drowned out all other sound, even though it wasn't even that loud. It was serene, to say the least.
eh... you’re probably just unfit or a pussy. i’ve skated and smoked easily. pop a good kick flip with a cigarette lit in between your lips is one of the best feelings in the world.
maaaan, get more fit. or don’t smoke lmaoo. skating/smoking isn’t a big deal. unless you smoke a pack a day i don’t see why you can’t smoke one cigarette while also skating.
all i can say is whoever came up with the idea for this video to go with this song is an absolute fking genius. the song is so blisfully relaxing. if i ever sprout wings and fly, floating, soaring above the clouds, this is gonna be the song to go with it
Really, really truly, really really listen to the music. Every little nuance. It took me a while to listen to the song this way, but once I did..boy oh boy.
y poltergeist ads every video on my playlist while i try to sleep. ps dont try and roast me cause im using youtube for music, i have premium spotify its just that they dont have all the songs i like on there, also first guy to comment on this hipster shit for like 3 and half years lmao
