Dude, this is absolutely insane. The accents, the short pauses, the crash mutes...I rarely see drumming done so creatively. I'm no expert but I can imagine that it takes a lot of musicality to make such meldodies with a percussion instrument. Thanks for upldoading, this made me feel stuff.
even in the climatic parts Robin is using sensitivity and control. He's not playing full pelt. Shows true musicianship as well as skill. This is why, you are one of the best drummers out there at the moment. pure skill and impeccable technique! Bravo yet again Robin!
I think this cover is so perfect because Robin plays with such patience, and blows the listener away without forcing them to listen directly to him. It's beautiful drumming but it never steals the listener from the selfreflective nature and emotion of the song but strongly and lovingly adds to it
When you see a Pianist perform a stunning piece, you look in awe at their ability. Yet we see Drummers and think they're just hitting drums and cymbals with sticks. We couldn't be further from the truth. The ability to hit each drum and cymbal with the correct weight, timing and order is just as impressive. Here, when shown close up, we see it in all it's majesty. Drummers are usually shoved at the back of a band out of our view, while the guatarists and lead vocals take centre stage. Fantastic performance. Brilliant choice of song btw.
Simply incredible, as always, man. Your taste, groove, and musicality complement this piece perfectly. Combine that with your technical skill and precision...you're a beast, dude!
@@FrogMagusthank you for responding. I thought you might like this, my 8 year old boy has watched this over and over and it makes him want to learn to play. His old man couldn’t convince him but your work here may have 😅
Waoh, I've to agree with all of the other comments: incredible drumming and so little views, you deserve more! The feeling is unmatched. By the way, that left China sounds phenomenal, it's basically tuned for this specific song, unbelievable!
How hard is this to play on the drums? I was just learning when I was 10 or so sold my set when I was 14 now I really want to buy more drums and play so badly
