Cage The Elephant, Live Salt Lake City UT 10/11/2011 @ The Maverick Center. Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters is playing the drums. Apparently the drummer for CTE had his appendix burst, Grohl said he needed emergency surgery so they asked him to play for the night. He said he "bought the cd the day before, listened to it, and they actually sound pretty damn good." -his words, not mine

I just saw them play last night at Arco arena in Sacramento. They were amazing! LOL he was wearing that same shirt haha. The Foo fighters kick ass too.

@RevWintonDupree The crowd wasn't bored. They were just in awe at the luck of Dave Grohl playing the drums. That only happened two times during this tour. Trust me. I was there and it was awesome :D

I dislike it when a band plays a song in a different key live, I realise that it is easier than tuning a guitar to a different tuning, but I'm just so used to the original tunings. I noticed that with this song.....AWESOME NONETHELESS!!!!!!!!!!!! FREAKING DAVE FREAKING GROHL WITH FREAKING CAGE THE FREAKING ELEPHANT THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

you know... to be completely honest. I hated cage the elephant when i listened to them on the radio. And when i went to this concert i wasnt really excited about them opening up for the foos. But was i wrong! haha these guys fucking rock live. I liked them a lot. I was sold after that

@EXtremeWalru5 He actually is a guitarist for Foo Fighters, and is the drummer for Them Crooked Vultures. He was the Nirvana drummer, but that long ago now...

@RedwinBand it's a chemistry thing, he's used to Jared controlling the beat, even though dave is a great drummer, nothing beats someone you've played with for more than 3-4 years

Grohl plays music like it's a fucking toy. He can plays any instrument with any genre of music like it is a fucking toy!!!! What a guy =p. Probot was amazing and he has yet to make a shitty foo album (the new ones may sound different, but they definitely are not stale) Queens of the stoneage....COME ON! Josh Homme only picks the very best when he is in need.
