I watched this movie a few months ago and really liked it. I don't usually get into old movies. But this one was worth while to watch. I recommend it to anyone. Maybe not to children of course. But especially if you're into old films.

if you have Comcast cable you can buy this movie from them I think it's only around $10 I bought it a couple years ago because it's one of my favorite movies. it's become somewhat of a camp classic. my favorite character is that old lady named Millie. my favorite scene is when Evelyn is stabbed to death by Kitty she sure deserves it. then Marie Allen is standing over the body and she says. kindly omit flowers.

This is a totally GREAT movie! I love this one - and just discovered one that should be better known, Women's Prison starring Phyllis Thaxter. I don't know which is better

I wonder why a sequel wasn't made of this movie? Benton says, "Keep it active she'll be back." Indicating that she is not strong enough for crime and that something will happen to Marie and she will return to prison.

It's hilarious how melodramatic these trailers used to be. I watched the movie on TCM last night and while it has moments of melodrama, it wasn't that bad. A younger Agnes Moorehead (Endora) and Ellen Corby (Grandma Walton).

As a fan of the old series Honeymooners I don't ever recall Hope Emerson playing a maid on the Honeymooners. A quick check on Wiki states that Hope Emerson played a Housekeeper on two other TV series but not on the Honeymooners. You might be thinking of the Dennis O'Keefe Show where she played a housekeeper for the entire series until her untimely death. @@jeffreyk4170

A great movie. But what I don't understand is why TCM rating includes LGBTQ. No way this was ever conceived at the time this picture was made. TCM needs to keep their woke opinions out of classic films. They do this with other movies as well. They pride themselves on being the guardians of classic film so they need to quit applying their stupid woke interruptions out.
