The Cagey Constraints Puzzle Pack was created by a lot of creators on Skunkworks between August 2022 and December 2023.

📋 Puzzle Rules:
• Normal Sudoku rules apply.
• Digits in cages must sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage. Digits may not repeat within cages.

I'm a little surprised that you didn't get the 89s and 12s from your first logic. Once you have those two corners and the dominos with the overlaps on the other corners you can look at their totals being very different in exactly the same way as when you did it after with set. You ask yourself what the maximum you can put in the overlap cells for the low total and you get 10. You sk yourself the minimum for the high total and you get 10. So the corner cells have to be 10 giving you the 89s and 12s. I'll admit I didn't spot the way to get those five cells myself but the moment you said that I got the first bit!

Exactly what I was going to say -0 no need for the SET to get the opening 8,9,1,2 digits, it's a simple min-max calculation

Credit where credit is due. When first solving this I remember struggling around with highs and lows, this break in was found by XeonRisq and was just so elegant I had to show it.

91 minutes and I'm proud of that; this puzzle was hard. I didn't use your second SET exactly, but it came out to the same thing, as I figured out that the 8/9/9 and 2/1/1 with the other corners summing to ten was the only way it worked. And then of course, being Phistomefel, it didn't fall apart at that point :)

Great puzzle as one would expect from Phistomefel. The start seemed easy to me, and then it kept on coming. I didn't use SET and solved it in just over the hour, not bad for me.

(I will use any tool available to aid in the solve. I do know how Sudoku 'works,' so for me, I don't consider this cheating. There is too much going on otherwise. The puzzle is not to see how good my scanning is, nor how good my math is, but to see the beauty and variant in it.)

That was a real workout. So much harder than others in this series that I have seen and tried. Really tests maths and geometry and a real sense of accomplishment if you manage to solve it. You explain the break-in really well. Thanks for featuring it. Always need to have a couple of hours to spare to try and tackle a Phistomefel puzzle, not always successfully!.
