This is very old, but still the way to do it from f-puzzles. But any puzzle now can have a solution embedded from SudokuPad directly by using the option to create a link with solution when you solve the puzzle.
XVellent Italian Greyhound by Bill Murphy: 2:22. Nice time and great name! Not Slow Thermo by Phillip Newman: 4:27. Noicely done! X Pairs Thermo by clover: 3:23. Great! Feel Worse (2:15) and Lite Spots (2:12) by Bill Murphy: almost the same time!! Mostly Clover by Phillip Newman: 5:03. As expected 😅 Thanks for the solve!! 🤗
Nice set of puzzles! Your scanning has definitely gotten better, BremSter! My times: 3:43 - 4:52 - 3:44 - 6:44 - 4:10, total of 23:13 (conflict checker off), so succeeded in 10 hats again, this time a bit more comfortably than last time. 😅 Look forward to the next set!
really struggled with this one, had to restart my progress at least three times thinking I'd broken the puzzle at some point until I understood the rules
This completely broke my brain! It took BremSter less than 15 minutes to get to the place it took me an hour to get to -- and I was completely stuck. What a cool puzzle.
7:18 having made the same mistake myself a couple of times, i was watching your solve. NO, you have NOT made that mistake. by luck or skill, you always remained within one REGION, and so could not have duplicate crusts.
i broke it on my first attempt. on my second attempt, i figured out what i did wrong, but my solution was suspect. third times a charm. those diagonal sandwiches are VERY tricky. 11119 is a THREE sandwich. 99991 is a twenty-seven sandwich.
I finished it, although it took me a while. I wonder if BremSter falls into the same diagonal sandwich trap that I fell into. Now, on to the video. 7:20 Sounds as if he spotted the trap. Very good. 11:30 That's what it will be. Repeated 1s before the 9. That 10-clue got me, although thank goodness, I didn't have to backtrack to fix it. (I was only centermarking 19s, not placing digits.)
I thought for the longest time that I had broken the puzzle, but gamely kept on putting in values, until I realized that the "5" sandwich could "legally" be part of the "10" sandwhich. I'm simultaneouly impressed by & angry at the setter!
the long 10 clue was key for me to solve the clues, still some nice sudoku to finish off as well, a very interesting twist on the normal sandwich variant. Thanks to Bremster for featuring this excellent puzzle from EPH.
(24:57) Doh, I saw the virtual pair in row 4 quite early on but totally missed it in column 4 for a while which had my head scratching for way too long! Obviously once you can see the 1,2 restrictions in box 5 it flows from there but never gives in easily, still more logic to do to break the back of this...beauty and art has gone into this sudoku! Big thumbs up from me!
I couldn't solve the staple in the bottom right corner without bifurcating, I failed to spot the X-wing on 2s in columns 8 and 9. A pretty tough puzzle, I thought.
Thanks very much for solving my puzzle! I am really glad you enjoyed it. Its really enouraging as a new constructor and interesting to see how someone else approaches it.
