Bhai, Egypt ek gareeb desh hai. Apko apni expectations jagah ke hisab se manage karni chahiye. Har desh ke logon ka baat karne ka dhang alag hota hai. Jo apko aggression laga hoga wo ho sakta waha ka baat karne lehja ho. Apko har jagah bus booking app aur uncontaminated tap water nahi milega. Har jagah ki apni khoobian aur khamiyan hoti hai.

Daniel Awad i didnt say unsafe i said harassment. When inspite of telling a hundred times that one person is not interested if the vendors persist and sort of force you , i would call it harassment. As an Indian i have seen foreign tourists get irritated and so i asked about whether the situation is similar in Egypt or not.

Its lucky that you have come back India safely.Always better to know the political situation in each country before you visiting.Egypt still under emergency I think.it may be the reason people are preventing you to take videos and most importantly its a different continent so you cannot compare the behavior of people between Asians and Africans especially with East Asians.

I can understand that you are finding reactions of few Egyptians very aggressive. I guess it is mainly because of the conservative culture in Arab nations where filming is still considered a taboo by many and also the political conditions there are not good. So they may misunderstand you as some spy as in one of your videos. I would suggest you to be more cautious regarding this.

I been in Egypt in April this year through a holy tour trip to Israel via Egypt. Saw a little of Egypt on my trip but was well arranged by my Indian tour operator Joshua travels. Lots of schamsters around pyramids

Varun your observations regarding Egypt, people, food and culture quite apt. I was located at Cairo for couple of month in 2009 and watching your vid made me nostalgic. Tahir square used to be best place to spend evening before it was destructed..yes you get stalked by sellers unnecessarily throwing goodies on you n then suggesting since you are from India it’s free eventhough you don’t want and that’s when they start their strategy of getting money out. When they know you are not ready to budge then take that goodies and gestures in aggression. You could have also capture something about the way you need to cross big road by crossing one lane at a time ( walk like an egyptian) risking your knees or backside getting almost brushed, we used cross by following fellow egyptians plus my cab guy used to park his vehicle between two cars by hitting very lightly to bumpers of the parked cars to make a parking space 😉. You could observe many cars with dents.
