THANX, SO MUCH CAPT. SO APPRECIATE YOUR VIDS. WHEN HUNTING THE DUCK NEAR HENNEPIN, HENRY AND LACON, WE USED TO WAIT FOR THE PUSHERS TO BREAK ICE FOR US SO WE COULD BOAT TO OUR BLINDS. I REMEMBER THE OLD DEISEL MOTOR PUSHERS AND THEIR RHUM, RHUM, RHUM THROBBING UP AND DOWN THE ILLINOIS. AWESOME VIDS. THANX FOR GIVING US THE VIDS AND NARRATIVES
Another outstanding video Capt! you mentioned you were doing about 3.5 around that last flank..curious to know if that was clutch ahead or were you already slightly driving on it? Seemed like you really use the buoy line like a channel range marker to know when to make the turn-that and your radar rings, but I couldn't tell if you were already putting power on at that point. Amazing how fast the head comes around in swift water.
Enjoyed the explanation, Speck, Dads nick name . I'll bet that was because he start were spectacles lol/ glasses. Thanks Guys enjoyed the beautiful morning
Hi Kyle, Has the William E Strait been repaired after the collision with the Margaret Ann, or was she a total loss ? I read the NTSB report and it seems the pilot was having a rough trip.

I've seen a.d Haynes on upper Mississippi, so does valley voyager and valley transporter ..they were good old boat! did you heard Delta Queen return to the river ? get her on the video when she start cruising next March,by the way Kyle I like your video keep coming !
Yes, it was Queen of Mississippi, or as we call the cheap knockoff the "Floatel 6". Haha Yes, a friend brought the Delta Queen (real steamboat) down for her refurb. Glad you enjoy videos. I enjoy posting them.
Hey Cap'n, I heard the William Strait sank today following a collision with the Margaret Ann just south of the I-55 bridge in Memphis. Have you any info as to what happened?
