Her voice is beyond amazing and this song is one of my all time faves, but can we take a second to appreciate the amazing lighting work?? I meam it really elevates this performance to the next level of ethereal, especially 2:11 to 2:28 💞💞✨
Happy ending wouldn't do the musical justice. The sad ending is what makes it stick to the audience... also the title won't make sense. Imagine how much it would suck if Alise were a man, though, and Jamie was bisexual, leaving poor lesbian Cathy alone at the end.
