man, i was in the car eatin’ McDonalds with my family after my older brother’s basketball game while watching this game. my mom was driving and when Caitlyn made this shot. my mom almost drove into a ditch because me, my dad, and my brother just SCREAMED
@Charlie Lol what an awful take. She ran to the crowd that was going crazy for the buzzer beater to celebrate with them. She knew she'd celebrate her team in the locker room. Oh, and I couldn't give a shit less what LSU thinks. What a stupid take 🤣 Is this an Angel Reese burner account?
@@Charlie-wt7ct oh my goodness be quiet! You’re really up here criticizing her for running to the stands after hitting a game winner after we’ve seen so many players do that in basketball??? Just stop! 🙄
I never watch sports but was excited that the XFL is back. Watched this game while waiting for the XFL game to start. If we can get athletes and games as exciting as this in the WNBA, it may be worth watching!
I used to love to watch the WNBA until they started to support the BLM mob and drug smugglers. Now no MLB, NFL, NBA or WNBA. And if the vile liberal democrats take over NHL I'll dump that too.
@@nickhunt852 I am from Minnesota but I rooted for Iowa throughout the March madness. Iowa played their hearts out and I was so proud of them. Unfortunately, the extremely poor sport from LSU ruined to all with her very unsportsmanlike actions.
@@joshanderson5164 She also has more reach in college. 12 to 15,000 fans show up for each game. She has more impact on young girls coming to games than she would if she turns pro. Lots of reasons to stay.
no early draft is WHY women's college basketball is so good. because the best players stay in college. an early draft would ruin this, and there arent many positions in the W anyway.
I don't even like sports. But I WAS GLUED to the screen watching that game. She destroyed them, It was Epic, and I don't throw that term or word around
It wouldn't get called because it's not traveling. The gather step on the catch has been precedent in basketball for literally decades. People need to learn the actual rules of basketball.
@@DhorpatanI'd say it comes down to if her left foot was still on the court when she caught it. If it wasn't she is allowed to jump off her pivot foot and land when receiving a pass or ending a dribble. NCAA Rule 9 Section 5 Art 4 a3

@@1badtubeman Guess you're not a Clark fan. It would have had to be pretty blatant to call it on a critical last second play like that. Her pivot foot never really moved when she turned to release the shot but, again, the ref was looking at the clock and shot, not her feet. At worst, a good non-call.
@@Golf05 I am a fan actually. But traveling is traveling and doesn't matter when it happens. Kind of like facts don't care about your feelings. (Watch again - she caught ball both feet off floor, then took TWO steps before shooting the ball)
INCREDIBLE SHOT!!!!!CAITLIN CLARK IS A BEAST!!! Not to be a downer but the defense was TURRIBLE!!! First off all, you don’t have pressure on the inbound pass. Second of all, if you don’t want to guard the inbound pass then put two defenders on CLARK.
The screen by #25 took out the defender and opened up the inbound pass to Clark. Without that screen, Clark wouldn't have been open and few will recognize how important that was. I agree that there should have been another defender on Clark.
Man I was sitting in jail watching this game in the pod and right as it was starting I was saying watch Caitlin hit a game winner then I honestly lost hope in the last 3 seconds but she goes n does some like this it had everybody going crazy the Co had to come in and tell us all to chill out 😂
She is the ⭐️. When she play TV rating sky high and beat NBA game by far, If she attend all the ticket will sell. John Deere golf Pro Am sold out. Season ticket for IW BB for next season sold out.
*THESE KIDS* don’t know shyt about basketball or about Caitlin Clark. She’s the one woman they can’t say shyt about and I bet it hurts their little feelings that’s she’s as good a shooter as any top NBA shooter 😅 She is HER. Been an NB- niqqa my whole life straight up… I’ve nvr felt like watching a woman play ball until Clark came along. She’s the Truth. You young dudes needa stop that hate bandwagon bs and actually watch this woman play. She’s legit and will certainly be the women’s 🐐
Never watched a womens or mens college basketball game before or an NBA game either, but I definitely watched the Iowa and LSU game and I'm waiting for tonights game against Connecticut. Wouldn't be watching or even interested were it not for the records being broken by Caitlin Clark.
TOO BAD IT WAS A TRAVEL AND SHOULD NOT HAVE COUNTED, catches the ball in the air, right foot plants and becomes the pivot foot, step with the left, then replants the pivot foot before taking the shot, NO BASKET< IOWA LOSES. NBA rule book states two steps. The WBB rule book does not say two steps, a travel occurs when replacing the pivot foot. anyway she took 3 steps.
I'm not even a basketball fan and that was completely obvious to me. Why would the refs let her get away with that? Do they just give her a break since she's a star?
What was #12 doing? Why are you playing for back door on inbound that far back? When you have plenty of help behind you. Play the inbound! She has no pressure on making the inbound pass because she under the damm basket 🤦🏾♂️
Should have been up by the inbounder with back turned denying Clark the ball. Make anyone but Clark shoot it there. Poor situational coaching by Indiana's HC.
It was 3 steps. Oh well. Indiana gal traveled the time before down the court before the foul call. They don't seem to call those violations on star players anymore.
@@Ordzo88 Gather step is at best off the dribble. And that girl getting more glory in a team game is, though not surprising, disgusting. Like they really couldn't make ANYONE but her shoot it. Really?
The ESPN clock is not official. The clock on the backboard did start on time. You can see if you slow the video down. And Caitlin still got the shot off in plenty of time.
Isn’t it funny that Caitlin and her coach and team have no issue with this reaction and people’s safety but after todays incident Caitlin and her coach find it disappointing that Caitlin was put in a position for this to happen 😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️
Was that not an illegal screen on #25!!! She clearly isn’t set, leans a shoulder, and trips IU defender. That’s wack and she damn near traveled on her shot. Good IU dubs girls, you deserved it
I said the same thing. The first screen on #33, she was still moving and had her leg out. By rule, you have to have your legs within shoulder width of your body.
Yes she traveled, HOWEVER the refs missed a traveling call on Indy the possession before to give them the lead so fair is fair n they let this one slide like they did for Indiana.
No, she didn't. You get a gather step when you're catching the ball. She then established her left foot as the pivot, then the right foot, then the shot. This used to be Reggie Miller's bread and butter. Perfectly legal, not traveling.
buggin if u think she traveled. update ur knowledge bag. gather/zero step. catch and right foot lift simultaneously essentially, legally giving her two more steps
@@dougphelps6917 Yes, and it was also traveling, and that girl shooting the shot was so pathetic you'd swear if you didn't know better, you'd say it was rigged.
No longer a travel for several years now. They consider the first step a gather step because she does not have full control of the ball yet. Then she gets 2 steps. Same for NBA etc
The team she was one of the member won 4 timers since 2017 to last one ,2023. Blunder went to see her to recruit. , She was in between 2 schools. N & I. CC liked B and IOWA. Lucky, Lucky. Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky……^^^^^^^^^^
I saw the highlights for this on ESPN, and I was like, let me guess, they're going to manage to let Caitlin get the ball so she can get more glory than she already has. Sure enough she was allowed to get the ball and hit the game winner. So pathetic. I didnt even realize she traveled on top of that. Even more pathetic than it already was. You(meaning the coaching staff for the opposing team) already know who she is, and that she is their star player, and you couldnt manage to make anyone else shoot that ball but her. Really?? Really??
Isn’t that a travel tho? Or is shit different for women. Cause I always thought you had to be making a move towards the basket as in a layup to be able to take two steps without dribbling, she caught the ball and longstrided two steps for the shot.
