I got a feeling this will be one of the best March Madness tournaments ever! There hasn't been a super dominant team that's been sitting at the #1 seed all year. So it really feels like it could go to anyone this year!
Scoring a buzzer beater in the championship game is a movie moment. I don't know where that kid is at right now, but he has a story to tell for a lifetime.
Thats one of those moments where you definitely milk the crap out of it your whole life. Dude is gonna be 85 telling his grandchildren about that time he hit a championship winning shot with a video to proof it. And I dont blame him one bit.
If Christian Laettner lived most of his life riding on “The Shot” which was an overtime buzzer beater to make it to the Final Four (en route to repeat championships), Kris Jenkins should be set. Neither of them had a great career post-college.
I mean that Villinova National Championship game winning 3 by Jenkins is hands down the most iconic and legendary basket ever scored in college basketball, that man had to of been on one hell of a high after that!
Chalmers shot into Blue Heaven. I had a poster of that shot on my door as a kid. I went to training camps with Brandon Rush. I remember when Mario hit that shot I was on the couch and I stood up and jumped on the couch screaming with my family. Both my parents went to KU and my sister did as well. Thank you for that sparking that memory for me just now. 2008 was a great year for KU. Orange bowl champs that year too
I remember watching that Villanova vs UNC shot. Me and my family where going for UNC the whole time (even though we’re UVA) and that shit was heartbreaking😂😂😂
Thursday is going to be fun. I’m a Spokane native, so I’m a GU fanatic obviously but that final four game was just phenomenal. Can’t wait to see what kind of a show they put on this time, though I do wish we still had Suggs
That Bryce Drew shot hits home for me. My dad went to that school when it happened and he has told me about it many times but I had never actually seen it before. Great video.
The first buzzer beater with Michigan and Indy.. dude is the greatest team player of all time😂 no way in hell coming off that pick with that much space and time im not launching that 😂😂 we all as kids dreamt of that exact moment and he passed it up for his boy. Good shit!!
Great catch. That was at the Meadowlands in NJ, 2 days after Tate George of UConn hit a buzzer beater to knock of Clemson. Both of those games should have been in this vid.
Kemba Walker has to be higher on this list; Called off his teammate for the iso, proceeded to lull his defender to sleep before absolutely breaking his ankles, stepping back, and then hitting nothing but net. Unbelievable.
The last clip should've shown Marcus Page hit that insane game winner the play before. Had Nova missed that woulda been the greatest buzzer beater ever
Paige hit the shot with 4.7 left, not 0.0, so it wouldn’t have been in the video no matter what since it is not a buzzer beater. Plus his shot only tied the game at 74; if Jenkins missed, the game would have gone to OT.
If you closely look at buzzer beaters, you see that most of them when take it out of bounds and touch the basketball, the clock doesn’t start. A lot of them start .03-.05 after touching it. I saw one video where they gave the dude an extra .08 before starting the clock after touching the basketball inbounds. That’s a huge difference.
The real hero on the Villanova buzzer beater was the referee trying to get everyone to settle down and go back to their bench and wait while they review this shot that very clearly counted
Recently, my basket ball team hit a buzzer beater to tie the game. I was on the bench at the time and I remember us all jumping out of our seats to run and hug the person who hit the buzzer beater. It was a three that was basically just a huck because he was getting fouled but there was no call. Even though it was only to tie the game and to send it to OT it was still insane. And yes we won in OT
That was my thought as well. In retrospect it might be the most iconic moment in college basketball history. And he also forgot to include Jordan’s winner the year before even though it wasn’t a buzzer beater. Tyus Edney in 95 should be included as well but overall a great video
A great series of clips of fantastic finishes. You'll rarely see these in the NBA, because they have the stupid rule that allows the coach, instead of the players, to advance the ball in this situation.
4:39- Washington vs Arizona - best commentator call on this reel and top 10 overall. “Game clock at 8, He’s gonna do it himself!? Thomas, shake, crossover… step back!? AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! At the buzzer!!!!🎉🎉🎉” goosebumps
