Marjela. I'm in love with Caitlin Clark. Something about her made me like her and not just her experience in basketball. Her in general she is an angelic sweetheart. My uncle told me about her not too lying ago. I saw her during the NCAA championship series games. She was so cute and adorable giving her all in the game of basketball. I miss that about girls. I love the way she carries herself. Paige Bueckers another friend of Caitlin Clark is an angel as well. She has to get that haughty spirit out of the way. Stay humble as Caitlin C is.
@@bigcurt7820 Clark was pulling big numbers in the stands home and road games plus tv. While reese was a factor the biggie was iowa beating undefeated s.c. in final4 before the lsu championship game last year. The league has had every type/race/victimhood gender type player for 27 years do nothing to move the needle like Clark. Not even close...by miles.
@@bigcurt7820lol no , not at all , only media trying to push her as big player... but she is average player and CC pulled big views and sold out arenas before Reese
I enjoy her maturity, professionalism, understanding of where the W is at and where it can be headed… not to mention her superb basketball skills! She is intelligent, has a thoughtful answer to questions, and very well-spoken. 👏
From a Hawkeye and New Fever Fan in Minnesota. Thank You Caitlin. Ive enjoyed theses Media update Interviews of your Progress and Transition, and The Interviews with Fellow Teammates and Coach Sides as well. Really Looking forward to The Season. Go Fever!
@christopher She's had this growing in her since she was 10, possibly younger because her dad would watch her playing with her brothers and cousins in the driveway, and he could see at the age of 5 there was something special about her abilities. The family moved to Des Moines so he could get her into a league and her dad was her first coach. There were no programs for girls so he put her in the boys team. There were actually parents who were mad because she was better than their boys!!! There was a time when she and her older brother were playing in their basement. They both went after a loose ball, she shoved him into the wall, and he had to have 4 staples into his head, so yeah, she is very competitive and doesn't like to lose.
I think it's unnecessary and ridiculous that everyday she does an interview. Let her play a game at least! I love to hear from her but she's just been practicing, what more can she say?
The fever the league are marketing the heck out of themselves. People are tunning in. You’re tunning in. It actually simple to understand why it’s NOT “unnecessary and ridiculous”. As a business you want as much exposure as you possibly can get. And this is cheap exposure. Straight form practice to a podium, take 20 min talking, someone edits and posts. Marketing 101.
I am now a women's basketball watcher because of her. I am looking forward to some good matchups some new rivalries. Is Friday's game on TV. We need to start a women's team in Florida! Go Fever Go
Not sure why some people criticize this woman's success, when she's the much needed star coming out of college that the wnba needed. She leads a crop of rookies (including Angel Reese, etc.) that will bring the eyeballs needed to ignite a lift in revenue, and as a result, salaries.
It really isn't though. Yes, she is bringing a ton of fans. But the W has been setting new viewership and attendance records and social media interaction counts for the past several seasons. And several other rookies are bringing a sizeable fan base. It's a perfect storm.
I am officially a fan of WNBA because of her. I would NEVER be watching this EVER before. Very interesting!! Now I am interested in following other female players!
I wonder why no sponsor like Delta or smth , goes in and be like' we sponsor you and you will flight private' seems like a very easy thing to do get WNBA deal as name sponsor and fly the players of every team +free adds with star players as part of the deal.
Clark helped lead an average Iowa team (sorry, I respect Iowa but that is the truth without CC) to be real title contenders over the years although they came up a bit short twice. However, with great post players like Boston and Smith who can stack points in the paint and get a lot of offensive rebounds, then Iowa's major weakness, due to their smaller lineup will be non-existent in the current Indiana team. Clark will now be able to shoot more calmly and at ease knowing that even if she missed, her teammates can get the OBs and they can attack again. We all know that if she shoots well then the team plays better as well. It opens up more chances to dish out some good dimes if the defenders are very wary of her shots. I am pumped up. Can't wait for the pre-season games to start. Go fever! 🎉😁👊🙌😎
I hope they will truly embrace, help and let Caitlin Clark be Caitlin Clark. She will cast a light on all of her teammates on the floor. Let Caitlin and the whole FEVER team shine brighter than ever... make the WNBA crowd FEVERish with excitement 🤩
Going to back to back championships with a small iowa team is really impressive. The buffalo bills lost 4 straight super bowls. Is that not impressive?
Happy to hear that she and Kate are in daily contact. That's nice, and long may it continue. Might be a slight roadbump just before and after the Fever/Aces game, but hopefully not too much!
Welcome the Caitlin Clark effect along with Sabrina Ionescu. Or become a haters like Diana Taurasi, Breanna Steward, Kelsey Plum and Grimes (Lexi who?) Either way just sit back and enjoy the Show.
@nr That's one I don't want to really see. 1 former Hawkeye in the Fever, 2 former Hawkeyes on the Aces. Caitlin and Kate Martin are best friends. Megan Gustafson graduated from Iowa in 2019 and has been playing overseas making some money.
CC3 is by far my favorite basketball player man or woman college or NBA. She has a heavenly game with flawless technique on her shooting and the longest range in the history of women's basketball. Caitlin Clark is also the best women's passer I've ever seen. She is almost 6 ft 1 in tall and thin especially in her upper body. She's going to be playing against much bigger much stronger and faster girls than she's used to and I hope she can adjust. Indiana was a terrible team because they had the number one overall pick two years in a row. I know they have Aaliyah Boston but they need good role players and bench players to help out Boston and Clark they can carry the team potentially to the playoffs. But Caitlin is playing a lot of games by the end of the summer college basketball season almost 40 games WNBA season 40 games plus potentially the playoffs plus the Olympic season she's basically going to be playing an NBA season about 80 games in about 10 months.
@rsb512 Caitlin's legs may look thin, but they are as strong as you will ever see on a female basketball player. Her own coach couldn't believe how strong she is from head to toe. Caitlin credits her early years of playing soccer to help the muscles in her legs get so strong. It's those legs that lift her on her 3 point shots.
@@survivrs True. But its her thin upper body that concerns me. Like when she runs into a 220 pound woman setting a pick. Cant wait to see CC3 light up the W! But shes going to the worst team in the W 2 years running. Thats scary.
@@rsb512 I agree with their record being so bad, but I'm hoping the combination of CC and AB will turn things around. Don't worry about Caitlin getting hurt, she's had everything thrown at her in college and while she might have to come to the bench for a short minute, she's always ready to go back in. Have you ever heard the phrase "strong as a brick shithouse"? She is fkn strong.
@@rsb512 She has come up against some big, strong bodies already and she keeps on playing. It's when she doesn't get up right away that I get concerned. Just out of curiosity, why do you use "CC3"??
I never follow women basketball, but now bcoz of Caitlin I’m following women basketball. Even, Tm McGraw watching the women basketball now. Caitlin really brought the excitement in women basketball. For sure the WNBA now will makes a lot of money from tickets and all these souvenirs and etc they do good in business👍 I’m actually excited now to watch more Caitlin in WNBA 😃✨🏀 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow...any pro sports franchise looking for a President & General Manager? Caitlin, with her college degree (?) in business/marketing, and insights into elite athletes, she'd be a shoo-in.
@Erik Caitlin knows just about anything you want to know about Kobe. During this past season, she would wear a different pair of shoes in several games, and on 3 occasions, she took off those shoes, autographed them and handed them to a very lucky young girl in the stands who was just hoping to get an autograph. Caitlin took as much time as they could give her to sign autographs for kids after games. Their jerseys or shirts, posters, even an occasional shoe, but she'd have to leave for their presser before leaving the arena. The shoes she wore most of last year, sparingly this year until the tournament where she wore them every game are Kobe's. I wanted to get a pair but they're a little out of my price range right now. She wants her legacy to be to make an impact on the state and people of Iowa, especially young kids. She has a foundation set up to raise money that is to go towards food, education, and athletics because it's hard to do good in school if you're hungry, etc. She gives so much of herself to so many, I don't know how she finds time to sleep.
we are caitlyn Clarke fans ( some of us) not wnba fans......that is yet to be seen if we become wnba fans-THAT IS THE BIG QUESTION---------BTW I AM FROM CONNECTICUT. HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES (OBVIOUSLY) DIANNA T DID NOT DO IT FOR ME
NBA flew commercial for 50 years! A lot still do. LOL the reporter expecting a league that has never turned a profit to fly charter. Mark Cuban ain't walking through that door with his private Jets.
I like Caitlyn, she has put feminism back in the WNBA game. I may watch the first couple of games, but not after that. It is still not an exciting game because of the lack of physicality and above the rim play. Also, I’m not sure I would like to see women slam on each other.
I'm not being snarky or critical - I think Caitlin Clark is AMAZING and completely admirable and likeable - but it does appear that she has been coached a bit on media relations for the better. She is not starting practically every sentence with "honestly." And I think that is really positive as it was something that I think came across as a bit juvenile. She is such a natural superstar. It is really great to see her continuing to evolve and grow as a person and player.
