So she has played almost 40 games more than Pistol Pete and he had no three point shot in his era He still averaged 44.02 a game, she has averaged about 28.03. a game in her career. So why would anyone say she is a greater scorer than Pete? She is a very good WOMEN's basketball player. But against men she would be lucky to score. They have gone back and assessed from available evidence that Pete would have averaged 13 three's a game. His average would have then been almost 57.00 points with a three point line! And she would be far from equaling his point total. This one deserves a half page sized asterisk. Combining women's and men's records is just foolish.

She did this in almost 4 yrs with a 3 pt shot. Pete did it in 3 yrs with no 3pt shot. There should be 2 different records. One for the current rules and one for when freshmen were ineligible to play and no 3 pt shot. Just like Lebron's record. He came outta HS and played with a 3 pt shot his whole career. That's not the same set of rule Kareem played with. 2 sets of records is only fair and tells the truth.

Caitlin Clark is a great player and is wonderful to watch. But she has been wildly overpraised and overpublicized. With their late season performance, Clark's teammates have shown they are highly unlikely to win the national championship. However, I do hope Iowa wins it all.
