Pressure, hate, and racism. Bird went through the same thing but he didn’t have the burden of being the savior of “men’s” basketball, just the savior of basketball. It’s crazy how we see the success of a generationally unique athlete suss out the capacity for hate in their peers.

It’s called basketball, Scott. LOL. This is ridiculous. Do you expect them to just stand back and let her shoot? She’s brought viewership to the game but the teams that existed before she got to the league still want to win. If I’m a coach, I don’t even want Clark touching the ball at all, and if she does get the ball then I’m looking to trap. The game plan for any coach trying to win should be deny cause if not she’ll hit a 3 from half court. It’s called playing defense to win the game. Stop being so soft. I guarantee you Caitlin isn’t this soft. She’s strong and she can handle it. Buck up and stop whining.

The main reason people hate on her is due to their own insecurities in life, just hearing her speak and the way she carries herself.. If you dislike this its legit a YOU issue, this is the most humble hard working mindset ive seen. Never an excuse and just gets after it, this is still a team sport guys.. you cant excel on your own and it will take time. This is the worst team in the league the last 2 years.. give it time

Not sure you can blame the fans. We’ve never seen anything like her. She’s change the face and trajectory of women’s basketball! I do appreciate the basketball heavy hitters coming in support of her. They’ve been down that road, has experience, understands what she’s going through. They also understand that any athlete that has moved the pendulum of her performance so dramatically, will also take their criticism from lesser players and others.

Abso freakn lutely! 110%. IF it wasn't for CC they're as in the WNBAs still in the gutter flying economy, and there arent 13 to 18k buying tickets/merch/concessions. Yet you have some women players that this just goes over their heads as they go for CCs head lol, not too bright. Theyd better hope nothing happens to her as in a bad injury or theyll as in the WNBAwill be right back where they were in no time. Despite it all CC is always gracious and respectful, carries herself well and it lends to her endorsements. The league just wasnt exciting, miss alot and do layups fine. So there is no dunking, now you have a player that adds some excitement with her insane shooting and passing. It is what it is.

Her and Pagie Bueckers may very well end up being the Magic and Bird of the WBNA in terms of how they elevated the league to premiere status and finally got it on the map. But I take umbrage with Sue Bird. If anything, the pressure is on the rest of the league to step it up to HER level.

Caitlin, you’re awesome but your fanatical base has put the pressure of the world on you. The former and current WNBA players tried to extend grace by telling people you need an adjustment period but they deemed experience and sensibility as hate and said you were going to dominate. Now they’re putting pressure on Aliyah Boston and your coach as opposed to allowing you all to take a few games or even a season to figure it out and gel.
