This is Caitlin's Larry Bird moment. When Larry came into the NBA he had a moment during their training camp that he knew he could hold his own in the NBA. After that he didn't put up with the old guards BS. Caitlin not only can hold her own, but she can also out play most of the WNBA. She's not going to be their object of abuse anymore.

The one thing I will say about Caitlin Clark, and what I've noticed, is in the beginning of the season, she played too fast for her team. That contributed a lot to her turnovers. Now her teammates are starting to play faster and faster and she's elevated her team. What people don't understand is that eventually this might force defenses to elevate their games as well. Caitlin Clark has single handedly elevated the WNBA, and they need to realize that.

I don't know the exact rule, but Caitlin is getting close enough to see or hear their coaching plans on the sideline. I would bet that's her rationale. But I bet the real reason is the way Caitlin is hyping up the crowd right in front of her. She also did this to the Minnesota coach... only in Minnesota's stadium. It's a power move by Caitlin and I think it means 'you disrespected me, now hear my fans roar.'

Agree! Along with her incredible skills, a big facet of her game that is overlooked is her 4th wall antics, how she plays the crowd, displays her passion, and brings them into the game. Besides her dramatic logo 3’s, this is what drew me to her when I started watching her this winter. No other players in WNBA/NCAA (Since Diana Taurasi in 2003) generate this much excitement. She is more than a great quarterback, she’s the cheerleader - the yell queen, and the more she is in control of her game, the more animated she is; she is like an exuberant orchestral conductor. I love it. And yes, it’s frightening to the old guard. You could see it in the Storm’s play throughout the game, too cautious, mediocre shooting, unable to contain CC, and then late in the second half the Storm looked completely stunned as Hull, Mitchel, Wilson and Clark just smoked them in front of a hysterical crowd; what a weapon. Can you imagine how the rest of teams in the schedule are feeling? Fear the Fever!

According to another video the fracas was not over the bench not being cleared, it was over Caitlin walking too close to the Storm bench, which was caused by Diggins speed walking into Caitlin and diverting her route to her own bench. Quinn supposedly thought that was poor sportsmanship (oh the irony) Not saying this is the case but it makes more sense than her being upset over Sides not clearing the bench and it explains why motor mouth Diggins stuck her nose where it didn't belong.

I haven't watched Skylar D. play before, but she was very serious and intent throughout that game, seemed to take the game very personally. I think she came in trying to prove that she was the better point guard. And she did have a few very nice passes and a few nice drives to the basket (though she generally ended up missing her shot). By the end, however, it was clear that as good as she is, that Caitlin Clark is just better, even in a different league of talent. So, I got why Skylar D. was a bit peeved already and so took it personally when CC riled up the crowd behind the Storm bench. However, it was petty of Skylar D. to make such a big deal out of it. The bump probably was earned, the end of game carping by Skylar D. and her coach was not. The fans come to enjoy the game, so let them cheer for their heroes at the end of a well-fought game. If their favorite player happens to egg them on, so what? Yes, it's irritating to lose, but you bumped her for that, which should be sufficient "pay back" for whatever embarrassment is felt. If you don't like having the opposing team's fans cheer from directly behind your bench, then play better and beat their team. (And I still think Skylar should have been T'd up for going to join her coach in complaining to the Fever coach. The best rule I saw in the Euros was that any player, other than the captain, who complained to a ref would get a yellow card. It should be the same in basketball, that only coaches can complain to the other team's coach. Diggins should have been T'd for ganging up on the Fever coach.)

Skylar is beautiful and classy off the court. It was a shame to see her get triggered by what was likely her poor performance and possibly getting mad at herself for allowing herself to get psyched by Caitlin.

Was that a foul when they knocked her down on that layup earlier in the game, missed call?

I love it. Caitlin is evolving into her true form! The haters are molding her into this soon to be unstoppable force.

This is hilarious because you can tell Indiana is telling Caitlyn to calm down cause we can’t defend you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 she needs an enforcer, like a butch stud who sucks at basketball a la Charles Oakley but Charles was nice!

I don't mind trash talking. As long as it doesn't cross the line into non basketball plays. Watching players with passion is what makes the game fun to watch.

They do hate Caitlin Clark. She wasn't afraid. CC was learning the game rules which change in the WNBA.

Yep, I do like a little trash talk in sports. The “I can do this game better than you,” is exciting and brings out competition. Some athletes, men and women, do take it way too far, where this competitor spirit turns to rage and really ugly hatred. It’s a fine and delicate line between the two. I hope these young W athletes can know where this line is. Some don’t have the maturity yet to understand when they’ve stepped over the line. Here’s to all the good coaching teams out there that are molding these W players and thus the W itself. 🤝

I think the two adjustments she had to make were the speed and physicality of the league. Her teammates I believe had no clue how good she is. And I also think that the league did her a favor by coming at her with traps, double teams and even triple teams. She no longer dribbles to the sidelines and gets trapped or picks up her dribble when the play wasn’t there. She now recognizes what is coming and more often than not she is easily beating whatever they throw at her. And what followed was her teammates realizing what she brings to the game. Sides has stopped dictating what she wants on offense and has opened up about surrounding CC with the weapons she needs mainly giving Hull more play and taking out weak defenders in crunch time. I still think Sides will derail all this somewhere down the line. 🤞

It's very competitive but when you start the shoving and knocking down when the play is over or the game is over...that's too much and nothing but bullying
