In the last game when she set the double double record and was told about it, she said she was just happy to win and was happy for the team. Gary, you talking out your neck! Reese has had 1 bad game out of 15. They lost 2 games recently where Marina couldn't make her free throws at the end of the game, that wasn't Reese's fault. The question is exactly what do you expect her to do or say after the 1 bad game she had? Reese hasn't had a moment where she was shy or hiding after a bad performance, albeit a single one so far. Just tell us you "fan-boying" for Caitlin Clark and leave it at that. They both face and deal with so much outside of basketball, and yes Reese brings some of the heat on herself. The comment she made after the last game was just her letting the world know she's built different. Reese been in the W getting fouled and roughed up and hasn't cried like CC. She's much more of a team leader for her team than Clark as well. There's so many clips of her uplifting her teammates and being the voice of support, especially since Williams went out. Conversely, there's clips where CC is seen making faces because she didn't get the ball, even when her teammates score. CC is purposefully going out to compile stats, she's feeling the pressure of trying to be great. I think if you dissect their season so far, they were losing early on because CC wanted to compile stats more than win. They started playing through Boston and the team started flourishing. Everybody plays better when they play through Boston but CC wants the ball in her hands all game and its too much work on the offense to set all them screens just to get CC open.

Stop for just a second and think, on this same Sunday that this Indiana-Chicago game was played at Wintrust Arena on ESPN, the programming that followed it just one hour after it ended was just down the road at Wrigley Field and as is usually the case on the ESPN Sunday night major league games the notoriously annoying Mr. "Marlins Man" sat himself behind the umpire near home plate in his now phased out orange-style Marlins visor cap and uniform top to bring attention to himself as always, yet he seemed to have no clue about doing the very same thing at the WNBA game just down the road, he could have gotten himself any courtside ticket he wanted near either of the two team benches he would have wanted to and made it an ESPN doubleheader, lol????? I'm sorry but it is utter BS that Caitlin has to take the last shot. Why? Boston is a co-star of the team and if anything Caitlin is a budding star. There is a difference between a scorer and their mentality and a playmaker and their mentality. Guys like LeBron and to a degree Kevin Garnett, and certainly pure PGs, get the ball into the person who has the best shot. Period. It's not I have to take the shot. This utter BS came about with some Kobe or MJ mentality but those guys are shooters and scorers. Caitlin is a playmaker and forcing up a shot over a 6'7" defender and another defender while in motion vs. a more open Boston is never the better shot. And even MJ has instances where he passed for the last shot to a Bill Wennington or Steve Kerr. Now, if you want to say that Caitlin has to assert herself more in the 4Q, that's a fair criticism.

I think what my guy was trying to say, which is also how I feel, is that if you’re gonna call yourself a dog and say that’s what you’re about, that’s fine. You should own your moments but… You can’t make statements like that and beat your chest if when you lose you go on and on about special whistles, and how the refs lost you the game. That’s a big part of why people would rather see humility because if you’re not gonna show that humility when you lose, people don’t wanna see you beat your chest when you win.

I'm saying if you compare the last two times the Sky played the Fever, when they lost Angel in the post-game somberly talked about people getting a special whistle and the refs doing a bad job. So when they win and she beats her chest, some people won't like it as much. She definitely deserved to, she definitely has that dog in her, and she's a beast on the court. I never once mentioned gestures, or that she shouldn't be confident and I never once mentioned CC.

Regarding Angel saying that she's a dawg, I think that context needs to be explained better. Holly asked her what enables her to come back from such a deficit and come out with a win, to which Angel said that she's always aiming to win and that she's a dawg, implying that she will fight til the end to win. You guy's conversation (especially Gary) made it seem as of she walks around saying that she's a dawg all of the time and that she's always the reason for her team's success. That's an unfair implication, and could create more false narrative. In every single interview, even yesterday's post-conference, Angel calls out her team members by name and mentions their success and how they contributed to the win.

I'm 13 minutes in and I feel like no one has researched angel outside of this game and the press for this game. first of all angel is confident but she is very much for her team. she will uplift them at any given opportunity and even when she got her first double double talked about how she wasn't satisfied because they didn't win and how personal victories are less important than team victories. second of all, angel is wonderful with the media, win or lose. her saying she got that dawg in her doesn't go away when she loses. it doesn't mean she always wins, it means she's always scraping and fighting for the wins (and she IS she's getting double doubles on those losses y'all) every time the sky lose she talks about what her and the team need to do better and what they are working on and its not just one person. like all the post game press conferences are public and available and while only 13 minutes in, it is at this point I feel like neither person in this video has watched more than MAX two (2) sky games and two (2) press conferences

Caitlin made the right play passing to a wide open Boston who just missed the shot. Caitlin was being double teamed by Cardosa who is 6’7. You don’t jack up a contested prayer over a double team when you have Rookie of the Year A. Boston wide open for a game winner. Even Jordan passed to Steve Kerr for game winners.
