Yes, but I think maybe I identify more with being poor than I do with being a cis male. It shifts according to context. I think she identifies with being ultra famous as much as she does rich. Both the fame and the wealth remove her life from that of a typical transgender person. When it comes to her harassment by other republicans her profile ensures she will get some personal support from other transgender people and those who her conservative friends call 'woke' (including me). So whilst she identifies with being rich and with rich people, she also identifies with that aspect of 'wokeness' that supports her own position. But she didn't plan it that way, and none of it makes her worse than any other conservative celeb. As a cis male, I can't expect her to identify primarily by gender any more than I do so myself. Presumably her identification shifts contextually as does everyone's, but with greater contradictions.

A large majority of them lost the benefit of the doubt voting for the last president and by standing by him. I stopped going to church period because of them. I have been to no less than 12-15 in the last 20 years. All the same.. money making factories. People forget that Bruce Jenner's (before Caitlyn) job for decades was as an inspirational speaker talking to rich republican groups about how hard work and dedication makes one successful and wealthy. Completely surrounded and operating in a bubble of wealthy Republicans, all thinking they had this Olympic story of dedication and hard work in common with this Olypian athlete (so not the case).. Caitlyn's history is shaped by being in such a bubble of republican thought that definitely paid her bills. By contrast, even as a transgender activitist, her story is so far removed from the struggles and real lives that face most transgender people and the LGBT community that she seems to be completely clueless about.

Her joining the wrong party don't justify their transphobia. If she deserves it, then the troll must be right. But they're not. She deserves 'hate' from our side for her republicanism, but not from her side. The right thing is to support her on this single issue regardless of her republicanism. It sends a far better message as to where the decent people are.
