It’s what they call a “shit kicking good time” (meaning it makes you want to dance) cause during the old barn dances sometimes there was bits of livestock poo in the corners even after cleaning out the barn for the dance and sometimes the vibration of the dancing made it migrate to where it could be kicked

I also first discovered Cajun music watching Southern Comfort 🕶️

This isn't what I would call the best example of Cajun. The fiddle player, Joel Savoy, is a well known modern Cajun fiddler. You could search videos of his family, The Savoy Family Band, to hear some good Cajun. But you really should search Doug Kershaw playing "Jolie Blon".
