funfact: Cal meditates before every fight reason why he always respawns at a meditation point is cuz thats him meditating the fight and failing, when you win is actually him in action
The fact their fight came to an end not with Lightsabers but a Quickdraw with Blasters shows how far Cal has come from the Jedi. His character is the only star wars content that has me invested
6:38 Nah bro the literal huge grin I got when I saw this. Bode needed to die. Not just for Cere, her sacrifice was important and her fight with Vader was pretty badass. But he needed to die for Cordova. That poor old man tried talking him down, and he shot him in the chest with no remorse.
I wish kal told him he was going to sell his daughter as a slave to the empire only to make him despair as he dies. That would have been justice for cordova.
@@jordoruiz0001 Whoa, whoa calm down Satan. I agree there should've been more but not in front of Kata she didn't deserve that. Bode did, but his daughter is innocent.
This is perfectly in line with what the developers were going for. I predicted that Cal was going to embrace the dark side in someway shape or form and force to use it. And look at that, Cal embraced the dark side in the most bad ass way. From what I can predict if there future installments, the 3rd game will make cal embrace the force, whether it’s light or dark. An equilibrium so to speak. It’s the same when Luke uses a version of the dark side to beat Vader and also uses force lightning in Star Wars legends. I say this because Cal’s master, Jaro, told him to “trust only in the force”
i see a sequel being about kata, maybe embracing the dark side, (making us finally play as a sith) and slowly coming back to the light, maybe by finding ancient writings about it
I do not like the idea (that seems to be weirdly popular among star wars fans) that "balance" is unequivocally good. Balance between stoicism and fucking psychopathy is not "balance." There's a reason the only Sith in the films to use Force Lightning was Count Dooku and Sidious, with Sidious using it to a much greater effect, and it's because Force Lightning is channeling pure fucking hatred. But nooo, "muh grey jedi, pure hatred is good actually because "balance."
"Trust in the force," a truely apt description of what the jedi should have done. Trusting in it, means you do not discriminate between the dark or the light, as the two always have their purposes. In this case the Dark side is like a weapon forged to fight or destroy where needed. While the Light is a shield, forged for defense and to protect or deal with those who should use the Dark for their own selfish means. A true Jedi will or should wield both, for only when they can use both the sword and the shield in harmony, can they be the protectors they once were and should be. If anything, there may be more decisive choices to be made in the 3rd one, where depending on your choices or even final choice, it will determine if you are good, bad, or neutral. Each with their own ending and neutral being the hardest to get, as it will likely require sacrifices to be made, from whats left of the important things Cal holds dear to others. Where the fiest game was sort of focusing on the Jedi, this one focused more on the Dark side, meaning the 3rd will be the choice Cal makes.
No Canon is blue Purple means that he’d have control over his emotions and be objective, like Mace Windu. Blue means being idealistic and seeking to help people, like Anakin, Obi-Wan and Cal.
If Cal wanted to convince Bode about training people on Tanalorr, he should have told him something like "Well, one day, none of us are gonna be here to protect the ones we love. So we better prepare against the Empire than keep on running, because then at least we'll all have a fighting chance when they'll come for us". Dunno just my opinion lol.
Except Bodes misgivings about the Hidden Path keeping it a secret aren’t unfounded. He was able to infiltrate them with relative ease and the Empire has others who could do the same, so they can’t guarantee it stays hidden.
I mean, he pretty much said something similar but Bode still wouldn't have it. They both know how overwhelming the empire is, how strong its become now. Even with Saw's help they barely made a DENT. Besides, bodes focus is on keeping Kata safe above all else. He could let the galaxy burn to dust but if she's safe and sound, that's all that matters.
7:35 I've always imagined if those who were bested in a lightsaber duel just fall over their knee and fell directly onto the lightsaber itself. WHile this civilized weapon is only wielded by a well-trained Jedi, I still think it has very little to offer on accidental injuries.
@@JoshuaHerman It _can._ Some are button-activated, some have touch-sensors, and some force-users press the trigger mechanism with the force so it turns off when they lose focus.
think the next game will be about Cal taping into the darkside to win his battles, becoming more comfortable with it and thinking he's control, untill some tragedy proves he isn't.
nobody noticed this, but I love how smoothly the gameplay switched to the ctuscene, cal did that move, and the cutscene followed it up perfectly also I guess it's a fallen order, but not of the jedi now, but the grey jedi, an order that fell long before the republic
@@cb-9938for real, that honestly explains all those crunchies; that would suck having all your body weight put on your rib joints like that, all that popping is probably ribs either breaking or popping out of their vertebrae 😝😅
Ironic that in the end, Bode is killed by himself in a way, he gave a gun to Cal, and at the end of it all thats what kills him. Almost as if he gave it at a time he knew he was losing himself almost.
I see everyone talking about Cal becoming a grey Jedi, but I see Bode as one. Let me explain, he uses the power of the dark side for a noble cause, he just wants what he thinks is best for his daughter Kata. Sure, he betrayed Cal, sure if it was not because of him, Cere would still be alive, but as Bode sayed, he's not a monster, he's a father, and as so, he'll do whatever he can to keep his family safe. I'm damn sure that if it was not because of Cal wanting to go with all of Cere's people to Tanalorr, Bode would've never betrayed Cal, I'm sure he wanted to share that nowhere space with him, even if he was an imperial spy, that's why he betrayed Cal before all of Cere's people were able to travel to Tanalorr. To finish, I believe it's interesting to us to think there might be a grey Jedi somewhere. The Jedi order is kind of a monk thing, and while monks can decide whether they want to exit their believings because they want to have families, Jedi can't, a Force semsitive person can't really turn his/her back to the force. Thats why I think that the concept of a grey Jedi is rrally interesting, a person that embraces his feelings, his fears, his hatred, the love he might feel for his beloved ones, and uses it to guide himself through the teachings of the force. In my opinion, it's might be the most human position in that fictional world.
This fight took me 3 tries on master because the cape physics would occasionally bug out and completely cover my screen. Going into the menu would fix it, but not before I was stunlocked to death.
True power and mastery comes from being adept at the dark and the light without succumbing to the darkness true strength is being able to pull oneself from the darkness
Peace is a lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion I gain Strength. Through Strength I gain Power. Through Power I gain Victory. Through Victory my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
I really hope with this and the third installment of the game we are going to get the gray Jedi. It's something I've wanted for so long and something I felt was missing from the movies and so on. A big plot point is that the Jedi order fell because they lacked the ability to act when they knew a threat was coming. They only ever reacted never taking action which is what sidious exploited. The Jedi knew a threat was coming they had seen it but rather than taking actions to stop it until it was too late they simply Sat by and waited to see how things played out, the only person who actually took action was Qui-Gon who followed the will of the force not the council. The current movies and so on are making it seem like the Jedi are perfect and they need to come back rather than establishing a new order something in between where the entire force both the light and the dark side are accepted as both parts of a whole. Balance.
literally no one knows how to describe a Grey jedi, they have connections with both the dark side and the light side, however this is little explored in the universe of star wars (canon and legends), and there is little or no explanation about it, they said It is assumed that Ashoka Tano was a Grey jedi, but looking back on it today, Mace windu is the closest representation of a Grey jedi.
I think it would be cool if instead of opponent tanking lightsaber hits with his body losing a few hp, there will be blocking scale instead of hp. Enemies block or evade your hits, and when their block meter is over you lay a hit and one shot them with cool animation. All this aplies to the player too of course, and to not make gameplay boring, you wull have yo evade instead of block to jot lose you block bar. This idea seems cool to me. (Modders please see this comment.)
6:31 We need to address this. BD-1 has shown he will throw hands with anyone for Cal. Whether it be ramming Rayvis with a Star Wars shipping container or _climbing onto Darth Vader and shocking him in the neck,_ BD's proven he will do anything for his Jedi. But here? He jumped on Cal's arm and was essentially saying, "Bode, don't. You don't have to do this." Bode had once had such true goodness in himself that not only did BD recognize it, he was *begging his first master's killer* to return to that goodness. Lord, the writing in this game need to get an award.
In the expanded universe, there was the order of the Jed’Aii that existed before Jedi or Sith, that used the light and dark sides of the force. They lived on Tython and also frowned upon full light or dark, even exiling extremists to the moons that reflected the sides of the force. Their code was, There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no fear; there is power. I am the heart of the Force. I am the revealing fire of light. I am the mystery of darkness, in balance with chaos and harmony, immortal in the Force.
Weren't they like the first, gathered on a "living" planet by the force itself and eventually they all splintered apart? I vaguely remember reading something like this years ago.
i cant he gets ripped by a sword like 20 times, you can visually see a blazing scar from his leg to the shoulder, and he gets finished with a single shot in the chest. I CANT
He is stronger in force. To end he will ready to Vader more than Cere. And he is not typical Jedi. Grey is possible like Askoka but Call is more darkness and strong if he want kill he kill and go.
The dark side of the force is literally a thing created from the jedi, it never existed until the Je'daii order the original order preceeding the Jedi order we know now broke apart into the jedi and the dark side users which would become the sith years later.
@@anthonygarland8839 yes and no for the dark side of the force doesn't really exist, but like you said using the force in a bad way like Vader is what can be called the Dark side of the force but there is just the force, no sides nothing, the whole sides thing was created by the jedi.
To put it simply, think of the force as a rainbow, with spectrum. just like emotion. If you see a long wavelength as positive, then the shorter wavelength would be negative (that's when they were called dark side). But overall, they're all a part of the force and could be harnessed as energy to accomplish tasks. Goerge kinda explained what Star Wars and the force (as well as the dark side) stood for in a sense, the dark side represented negative thoughts and emotions. so basically, the dark side in Star Wars was a broad term to describe negative influences in the force, especially for the force sensitive - that it could convert you permanent if you let those emotions consume you. There were also dark side creatures - those fell victim to dark side alchemy that it twisted their nature, both physically and mentally. In short, the dark side is a part of the force, but its nature is harmful to life itself. You can harness the dark side to do good, but they would never be true dark side ability, and they would not corrupt you as much, if your intent were not evil. the prime example of this is the force lightning.
Bode literaly got sliced by lightsaber (which by the way should result in him being cut into small pieces and not just wounded) and was totally fine, but died from a one blaster shot.... :D
I hope they have a flee to the unknown regions like the Zeffo did to get away from Darth Vader and we learn what actually happened to the last of the Zeffo my theory is they ran into a Starweird colony basically a race of banshee like creatures that roam the vacuum of space all the Zeffo get brutally killed on their ship which could be a cool opening cutscene before flashing forward to present day
@@МурадСтариков that would be awesome I definitely hope we at least get another Vader boss with Cal being able to hold his own for longer against him Mustafar would be an awesome location for the next game to feature all Cal has to do is touch something that belonged to Vader it would be cool to explore the collapsed mining facility where he killed the separatists no doubt he would pick something up there with his rare ability there could be literally a force echo right next to Nute Gunray’s corpse
@@stevenpaul1324 in case of Mace it is something different. The difference is, that his form, Vaapad, draws darkness not from oneself, but reflects darkness from your opponent. Which meant Mace could use the dark side without having to embrace it. This also made him an unbeatable duelist against darkside users, until Anakin fucked it up.
The DarkSide of the force is the key to life , it’s much better outlook then The Jedi Orders view on the force ESPECIALLY WITH YODA’S LEADERSHIP 🤷🏾♂️✅.
But the problem is the company doesn’t let you choose your Lightsaber so you have no choice even adults and little kids are getting mad 😡 about it it’s pissing them off
FINALLY SOMEONE NOT USING GREEN , to me its Purple&electrum unless im using inquisitor Bloodshine but ill watch blue I really only like green for 3 ppl and 2 also use blue , Luke PongKrell Grievous, best combo was Revan Purple&Red
As a Jedi I prefer the light and dark side of the force, it's just naturally me. I can easily do things the Sith would like essence transfer on idiots that don't deserve a body
@@Commander23c Both sides of the force have it's strong suits, I prefer being flexible across the board. My favorite force technique is life drain a very dark side technique, I love to use this ability on targets I'm about to slay, I expand my own life span plus deliver the fatal blow while adding another 100 years at least to my life span, while the normal Jedi just stupidly slay their targets
@ArrowSlinger You used Mace Windu who's supposed to be a bright example as to the hubris of the council. Not a good example. Anakin doesn't count considering he fell to the dark side so it doesn't even aid your argument of Jedi using the dark side. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan are regarded as being emblematic of what the Order is *supposed* to stand for. So with all of that being said who are these "others"? How about you stop trying to rewrite lore to serve your evolving interests you casual.
Secretly an escaped jedi, but didn’t want anyone to know. Was going to escape to a secret planet and live with his daughter there, but Cal wanted to bring the Hidden path (a refugee organization) there which Bode believed would draw too much attention and get them all killed so he ratted them out and tried to slip away to Tanalor.
When you defeat Dagan, Bode hangs around whilst you leave, he takes his lightsaber. Its important to remember that lightsabers were rare at this time as the empire purposefully made it very difficult to make/ aquire one. Its likely Bode lost his or maybe had to ditch it to blend in.
