Hi Phil! How you're doing!? Haha yeah my new profession, TripAdvisor influencer best believe, but in a way he is right, because I have some food reviews coming up, so kinda going in that direction right!? Yeah buddy, get it, honestly those live-streams are more fun to watch when I'm actually 'live', great way to connect with my audience and have some fun together at the same time, and walk as a 'group' somewhere, and loads of times I let the viewers decide where to go & what to do! Although this was quite a long video as well, but wanted to keep it a 'uncut' video, so the viewers get the same vibe I was experiencing and didn't felt like to edit it this time, a kind of different video I want to do more often in the future, we'll see if the viewers enjoy those! I have some more videos coming up that will be longer than usually but most likely will make it 2-part videos so that way people will enjoy it more than watching a 40/50 minute video, and keep you guys more entertained! The channel is for the viewers and try to give information and have a laugh at the same time, which is important to me! Yeah hahah Degenerate is definitely a word that will come up often here on the channel, as I was living that life, but from time to time off course we take some degenerate decisions to have some fun out here, best believe ;) and yes many restaurants/bars in the centre of Cala d'Or are dutch owned indeed, some call it the dutch-maffia lmao, but I think the owner called it the pirate, probably he like pirates and stealing tourists money hahaha no JK, he looks a lil bit like a pirate himself indeed, but I think he is a cool-dude, never actually had a conversation or whatsoever but from stories and some small talk passing by the place, he gave me that impression! Not a bad idea to make some business cards, it can come in handy in situations like these, but tbh I'm not the type of guy asking people on the streets in real live, to subscribe or anything, sometimes I mention it in videos, because I don't want anyone to miss out on what is coming up on the channel, and I do think as a local from Cala d'Or I can give people honest opinions on places and let them know where to go and what to skip! But I find it kinda cringe to give people business cards and 'beg' to subscribe, if they find the channel on RU-vid it's great, if not, you're missing out haha hate it or love it, I don't care, but better if they love it off course! But definitely something to consider in the future, might help the channel out growing and hand out to people if they are really wondering what I'm doing out there! I agree, live streams are fun an interactive, but I feel they are better suited to larger channels, with dozens or hundreds of people following live, you know. My recommendation as a professional strategist would be to keep growing the channel with shorter, pre-produced videos, also to create more awareness with locals and holidaymakers - you'll have more and better live interactions then when people recognize you 🙂 Haha, keep the degenerate elements coming, they're always fun 😁 But do stay off the booze and the weed, you're doing well 👍 Ha, good point, the Dutch guy does look like a pirate, just with more teeth and two legs 😅 But yeah, good idea to maybe pop by in the morning, when he's not so busy, introduce yourself and the channel, and see what comes of it. I don't see it as 'begging' to subscribe, it's just nice to have a little memento for people when you have a good interaction and they ask what your channel name is - that way they don't forget. A totally different channel (Walterrific, he does moto-vlogs in Kansas, US) did this years ago and local people loved his cards, they ended up asking him for them! Maybe you had a bad experience, it all depends where you go in town, but in general, staff from places should be nice towards guests, maybe its the heat and they are tired, but shouldnt be the tourist their fault, sorry to hear about your experience. The beaches are indeed nice and beautiful and there are definitely places out there where staff are very friendly and welcoming. And yes the prices are higher than it used to be, but it also has to do with the rent prices and the costs from food/drinks/electricity etc. It is not what it used to be, although there are still some places out there to get a bang for your buck! Hopefully if you come another time you will have a better experience! Thanks for commenting and have a fantastic weekend 👍
