Also. Timber wont start imo at LB. They will be careful with Timber through the majority of the season, assuming they have learnt there lesson with jesus following his injury. I think Timber will be challenging White (which most fans won't want to hear). The way Calafiore inverts is exactly what Arteta wants

If you know Arteta then you know he's bringing him in for LB. Arsenal wouldn't change there cb pairing after last year. That left back position is the main weakness in the team defensively and in attack support of our LW position. Calafiore imo will 100 percent be playing LB and more then likely starting LB for the season if we bring him in.

As a manager or head coach, you don't recruit players on the basis of them being a backup option for another player in your squad, it's because you're wanting to increase your squad options, and if it works out that the the new player has the impact of out performing the player who was the regular first 11 starter and the team performance and results consequently improve, they won't be losing any sleep over having advanced the development of their team by having ousted and benched a player who's a fan favourite. There was a time when some deemed it tantamount to a rogue nurse taking us off our life support machine when Arteta jettisoned Ozil, Aubameyang and Tierney, and when the 'Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe' song was reverberating around the Emirates, no one envisioned that being all too short lived as it's proven to be.

Guys I think if we don’t sign another Midfielder, Arteta might go with a back 3 of Saliba, GM and Calaffiori Formation 343 pushing BW and Timber to play at wing backs, Rice DM and Ødegaard as CAM. Front 3 Saka Havertz Trossard. Dreaming of Arsenal signing Musiala 😂😅🙏🏾

We have seen how he operates when he comes into midfield and we may get a very good player in the attacking sense as he is rather good on the ball whilst he won't be as vulnerable defensively with a back 4 and Rice behind him

I think he would be a great signing. Why do worry about players not starting or being cover. He may start as cover but become the primary because he is better. Most good teams have 2 players per position and sometimes at the same level. If we are a big team then we should act like one.

23:26 Laurie makes such a good point and no one properly answers it. You can tell who has a high IQ on this line up. Calafiori wants first 11 football. Arsenal wont be targeting him unless he’s going into the first 11 near enough straight away. The likelihood is that he plays tomiyasu or timber until he’s up to speed. Thats if we even get him

I am tired of all thr defenders we keep buying. Tomiyasu, White, Timber for RB White, Saliba, Tomiyasu for RCB Gabriel, Kiwior for LCB Zinchenko, Tierney, Tomiyasu and Timber for LB. 8 defenders who are all top quality...unless some leave we dont need yet another defender. Guve us a striker, winger and LCM ffs

😂😂Yeah right a post ACL washed up version of Sane compared to his 1st 3 seasons at City. Who also by the way had 1 goal in past 6 months and earrns over 300k per week. You lot don't watch football outside of Prem & odd CL games here and there or at least bother to do research and it shows
