At 52:41 I say I "guarantee" Fortune resolves and this is incorrect because... Fortune would resolve anyways! If Fortune dies then it doesn't exile and come back but I can still have the unit that was saddled do so. I didn't know this when recording the video and realized afterwards!
As a new player I really like that the deck techs are as long as they are. I wouldn't even mind them being longer as I also wouldn't mind watching videos that are longer than an hour.
Agree - please, these vod should be a longer format at least at the nascent stage when you are building up the audience with all the new MTG knowledge. Can you consider rolling out part 2 of the Ratgiri deck? There are alot of nuances when it comes to piloting the deck and I dont think you rushing the VOD does the effort you have spent in crafting these new decks justice.
As an experienced player I still like the longer deck techs. I want to hear the reasons behind the card choices. MtG has so many cards and decisions to make when deckbuilding so it is good to hear a detailed explanation on the thought process and testing that was done. Another common trend on videos for decks and in Twitch chat is "why not this card", so going over other options and whether or not they are viable is also helpful (especially when limited on wildcards).
Maybe place the camera in the bottom center during deck tech? As a new player, I would like to read the cards popping up on the right side as well. Also, the deck techs are arguably the most important thing of your videos imo :) Love the content!
I don't mind the long deck techs. Apart from just making the rest of the video more engaging, as I then have a better idea of what you are trying to achieve in the games, it also helps me in my own games, as knowing what my opponents goals might be when they play certain cards can help immensely. Really happy to see you back, I used to watch your content a lot and you even got me into LoR for a while, but Marvel Snap just wasn't for me.
Your Deck techs are what brought me to the channel in the first place. I'm so glad you're back in MTG. I love LoR but Magic is where i found you. Magic feels right.
As an experienced player I don’t really need the “meta” cards and card combinations explained, but your added spice I do enjoy hearing about. I also understand there are a lot of people who followed you back into Magic from Runeterra or Snap, and for them everything is new about the game. So keep doing what you’re doing with the deck techs. To the people new to Magic - welcome! It really is the deepest card game, with lots of strategies and flavours to choose from.
As a guy that doesn't play MTG, but loves your content, I say that your deck techs are absolutely perfect. The way you dive into the concepts behind the deck helps a lot to enjoy the rest of the video and it's far from being boring in any way, since you are a good communicator and very funny guy. Welcome back to YT, bro. Love ya
The deck techs are good even if it’s longer, in my opinion it’s important to understand the choises between cards and the combos, especially for the newer players.
I love the long deck tech, deckbuilding is the part of cardgames that i enjoy the most, so understanding your choices and how the deck synergizes is very cool and my favorite part of the video
As a new magic player, even though I know it will be ages before I can play any of these decks, it’s still interesting listening to the deck tech and watching the gameplay from Mogwai
As a fan of magic since I was a kid, I fell out of love with it when I was like 14, I'm 29 now and more lost than ever with this game, I found your channel because of Legends if runetera and I've been a fan since, I'm so fucking stoked to see you go to Magic.
I playing mtg arena long time already, but your deck tech segment is really good for new players because I know how hard it to explain a new mtg player how to play this game and how rules work. Thank you for your videos.
Glad to see you playing mtg again even i hate mtg so much. Thanks to this game you break marvel deck building limitation and show everyone your true potential. Gj Miguel
As a new player to this whole thing, I'd love to see a deck tech on SIMIC ARTIFACTS. That was actually really cool to see how that deck works. Also that Mono White game was fantastic to watch!
Hey mogwai love your videos can you make a video for new players that wanna play mtg iam sure there r a lot of ppl gonna play it for the first time cuz of you and iam one of them and if you can make a beginner deck or cheap deck for new players to understand the game and get good at it thx
I like the indepth tech deck, but if your noticing a drop in full views I'd try to speed it up. Lots of viewers have short attention spans. Also, thanks cgb for the giving you a shout out so I could find the channel
I like the longer deck techs and know what each card is doing during the matches instead of pausing and reading. Longer is better that's what she said. If people don't like the techs they should just skip it tbh.
I would like to have a bullet points (a note window on the right split of the screen) in the deck tech for the key cards in the deck, this would help reducing the juggling of the connection between those cards
The current MTG meta is, of course, existent, but I feel very comfortable playing non tier 1 decks, they might feel a bit jankier but as long as you are taking in account the meta-threats and have some good payoffs, a lot of shenanigans are possible. Also, longer videos seem to be the "meta" on youtube nowadays, and specially on other TCG channels it seems very normalized, so it should be ok to have longer format videos (also, taking away the deck tech from a passionate deckbuilder is just heartless)
Wizards of the Coast has been pumping out so much product lately, I haven't bothered to keep up with all the new cards. So despite being a well-established player, the decktechs are actually sometimes helpful.
8:12 pinned comment modcheck (Really appreciate the in depth, noob friendly deck techs as a new mtga watcher. Keep em just as long if not longer when needed!)
Personally I enjoy the long deck techs. Maybe you can go through the core of the deck in 3 minutes (for people who don't like the longer ones) then use 10 minutes to go into the nitty gritty for those of us who want to know.
Lol that first opponent was so toxic he literally made a deck with pretty much all counter spells. But somehow didn't know that you don't just fire them all off at the beginning of the match 😂
@@ZaaM1The ”Jump in” event where you pay 1000 gold and get to choose 2 different ”decks” and get to keep the cards even if you don’t play a single game in the event. Really efficient and cheap way to build up your base cards.
Okay, I'll say this for Game 3 : this is the perfect example why Bo1 is a flawed format. As is, your deck is a midrange type deck that is trying to setup a big play/creature combo. Vs a deck that has control elements through value (like the generation of artifacts), you need a sideboard plan to enable some switches to become more aggro and maybe ditch the main gameplan to a more "in your face" approach. Nonetheless, Mogwai's decks are super fkg awesome, but real contructed is a better experie ce with a sideboard.
She is a planeswalker card, not a creature! Planeswalkers are different kinds of permanent spells (like creatures, enchantments and artifacts) and their number is essentially their life, you can go up or down to trigger different abilities, but like you, they can be attacked by the opposing creatures. Players can choose to attack face or planeswalkers if there are on the board. Hope this helped!
I've never seen these meta decks draw so poorly as when they're featured in these videos lol, boros always goes turn 2 five creatures on board with the 4/4 convoke dude when I'm playing against it.
Bout time you are playing a real game again snap is like playing a slot machine with the random lanes man I thought that was so lame lol if not for the rando lanes they had a great game
14 minutes long deck teck , I'm gonna skip this proceds to don't understand the whole video also go play commander you coward tldr :love you and you shold play commander using the fallout cards because i am too lazy to make my own deck
