Don't worry. I am a Licensed Engineer. In the Future: I will establish a business that offers cheap technology that will help in our agriculture sectors. Right now I'm currently developing it.
We need this kind of documentary in this year. Ghad, we all know how hard it is kung gaano kahirap ang food supply sa panahong ito. Make more awakening videos like this for the youth and for the country.
As an Agriculture student, napakalaking inspiration talaga nito. Stating a fact about our Agriculture nowadays.. Grabe talaga.. Hindi lang buong Pilipinas ang maghihirap kung wala ng mga magsasaka in the next generation, pati na rin buong mundo. Kaya thankful din tayo sa diff. agency ng Agriculture kasi ineencourage nila ang mga kabataan to engage in Agriculture specifically Farming by creating different programs to farm involvements..
my mom want me to take agricultural engineering in college kasi anak ng kapitbahay namin maganda na buhay sa ibang bansa dahil nag ABE...so dahil undecided ako, i said 'sige, ma yan kukunin ko' thinking to work abroad after i graduate and gain experience here in Philippines...but as i watched this short meaningful documentary, i said to myself that i should help my country first, and help lessen these agricultural problems the country is STILL facing
Hello. This video was so inspiring. I'm a first year college taking a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and also I want to help our beloved farmers. ACTION MUST BE DONE! START NOW.
@@shawnmoore7517 how do yo say so? Cuz, FYI (just for update) I'm currently at my third year bachelor degree. And ALSO, I join the 4-H Club Organization and other related programs for the past years! So do you think I'm pretending? Im not mad, just stating the truth. :)
@@yvonnefaurillo9679 Yes, it's a culture thing. Filipinos solve things by bluffing, lying and pretending. You people talk a lot but do very little. This is so obvious when we look at the actual state of the country.
Kudos to Calata Foundation for their effort in promoting this left-behind yet critical part of our society and economy. May Filipinos be inspired to go back into farming knowing the risk of loss we might end up with in the future. Thank you also to the video maker of this for spreading inspiring and meaningful piece of media. 😀👍🌱🌳🌴🌿
Im planning to have research about digi-agri/smart farming, hope makapasa sa Mext 🥺. My goal is introduce digital agri to our farmers using seminars or any methods na makakahelp sa kanila. Like what this documentary video tried to help our farmers. Im a Devcom student so this is one, the only way I can think to contribute sa ating agrikultura 😊
I was born as a farmer until I grew up to 12 years old. Every thing said in this video are true. I'm interested to join this foundation.
hi po, Very well said po and I am an Agriculture student. (Bachelor of Science in Agriculture) kahit nasa Sub-Urban Area po ako.Thank you so much for inspiring po and sana marami pa pong mag-aral about Agriculture related courses at importante po na maging happy and love nila ang Agriculture.🌱 #Kayayan!
In my perspective, the government should come up with a creative solution to encourage young people to become farmers and agriculturists, and one of the solutions is to raise the pay of all agriculturists and farmers. Because the youth's perception of farmers is that they are impoverished and that farming is unclean, how will they educate themselves to study agriculture? If the pay rises, I believe that many more students will study agriculture, which will save our future. I'm a student of Agricultural Business Management, and I'm hopeful that agriculturists, like farmers, would raise their revenue. As a result, future generations will be able to save money and live better lives. It's already 2021, and I'm still being discriminated against because of my course; as the years pass, no one in the Philippines will want to be a farmer. The only solution is to raise the compensation.
dko alam na si sir jason mag banua pal gumwa neto ngaun ko lang nabasa! pero matagal ko na tong napanood! so powerful sir im working at Department of Agriculture as Videographer and photographer and this inspires me!
The problem in the Philippines is that schools, particularly elementary schools, do not teach students about the importance of farming and food. I remember my father describing me that they had a subject that talked about it and it was fun. I wish agriculture would be introduced more in schools, because schools are the foundations of a child's perspective in life, and if they learned how important agriculture is, I believe they would develop an interest in it.
You can teach them all you want, but if their average income in farming doesn’t change, it won’t change their mind set. The value of their crops has to be raised. Because that is where the main problem lies. Middlemen purchases the farmers’ products very very cheap and sell it with a big mark up. Eka nga ng farmers, middlemen lang kumikita. You have to give justice to the prices of goods that farmers produce. Address that problem, and that would make the new generation rethink a profession in farming. If they see that there is money in farming they will be encouraged to get in to that profession. Hanga’t sa binabarat natin ang farmers, that decline will really be inevitable. I say again: give justice to the efforts of the farmers to produce the goods we need by paying them the right prices for it.
Finally!!! I watched the whole video looking to see if they will address this. Until farmers do not have proper rights, do not have tools, do not even have their own lands to till, Filipinos will refuse farming. Until feudal families continue to mistreat their employed farmers or snatch lands, no one will want to be a farmer. The real solution is by changing the middle-man (distributor/owner) centric system agriculture operates on.
I just want to know what the calata foundation thinks about the agrarian reform program of the philippines. how will the new farmers invest in modern technology if the land that they own will be limited to just a couple of hectares? to whom will the new graduates of agriculture work for, if the farmers can't even pay for the cost of running the farm. just like anywhere in the world, the average age of farmers are increasing because no one wants to work hard like farmers. in order for the farms to succeed and be able to invest in new technology, they need vast amount of lands, that is why even in he united states, small farms are diminishing and big farms gets larger. This problem gives rise to corporate farming. i think the goverment of the philippines needs to straighten out their priorities.
Thank's God for the farmers 🙏
It’s been 8 years (the video). As an alpha generation, I am an aspiring agripreneur. #entrepreneur farmer. I wish I can connect with you Sir Jason! ❤❤❤ P.S. Ngayon ko lang nakita tong video.
As farmer's daughter and Agriculture student Grad. 😇 I want to help others not only for my family. 🙏🙏 I am still dreaming na Maging isang entrepreneur sa larangan ng pag aagrikultura🙏
The problem here are the middle man! Our family owns farm and we farm but sobrang liit ng naiiwan sa mga farmers dahil sa mga middle man silalang kumikita.
At yong product after harvest i direct to sell nyo na sa Market place!
Exactly the middle man and the monopoly... Hindi monitored yung Farmgate inipit tuloy tayo ng middlemen ma force yung farmer ibenta commodity kesa maghanap ng buyer baka masira lng hayys.
We really should be teaching the youth about the agriculture, how it can help not only on themselves but also for the better sustainability of our country's economy, we should remove those wrong information that was being teached in some private and public schools na "Kapag magsasaka ka, mahirap ka". we must take actions on these things by teaching them how powerful agriculture is.
Pero kung ako may sariling lupa, i wanna be a farmer too.
Yung mga capitalista problema and mga middle man..
THanks sir!! i was inpired with this, and i will continue inspiring people also to get back in to farming.
I'm an architectural practitioner. I have a vision to have an Industrial Village Housing kung saan ang mga nakatira sa City ay umaasa sa industrial business at doon sila nakatira malapit kung saan sila nagwo-work. But now I'm inspired to make Agropolis kung saan ang City ay umaasa sa Agriculture.
I quit my Job as a Sales Engineer, Now I am a fulltime Farmer... Yes indeed most of the youngster do not know how to work in farm land. Mas prefer nila mag tambay mag laro nang Online games and also the parents naging tamad dahil sa 4P's
Hello, we have project po kasi about GDP Sector documentary din po.
Good day! My group mates and I are wondering if we could use some footage from your video for our school project about Philippine farmers. Don't worry, we'll be putting credits on the video itself. I'm not sure if the video will be posted online though I think it won't. The video is quite old so I'm hoping that I'd still get a response. Sorry to rush, but I hope to get a response by Wednesday. Thank you so much! Have a good day!:)
I strongly agree that Philippines is rich in agricultural land but who owns the vast tract of lands? Who controls the price of farm inputs and dictates the gate price of their products?
I see new farms popping up all over as they burn off the bamboo and brush where we are on Palawan. Very few fields laying unplowed for this next crop of rice. Of course we are not in a large city area and that may be the reason why.. Ingat
Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Diane Nicole Bonita, from Young Sprout Organization, I would like to ask permission to use your video clips for the promotional video of our organization then publish it in to public. Once we have created this video it will go on to our Facebook page. Other than this, the video will not be published anywhere else and will be used for the promotion of our organization. We hope that you will allow this and thank you for your kind consideration.
Can we use some parts of this video as courtesy and source po for our promotional video with regard in our Agriculture course promotion for our school? Thank you po!
How to be a part of the program I'm one of the BOD of a Multipurpose Coop more on Farming Could we refer or send our students interested even graduated but want to venture in. Agriculture I'm also a BSA graduate and now in this Cooperative endeavour Thanks and pm me
Hello, we have a project in which we’ll create a documentary. May we use some of the clips here? Rest assured that we’ll give proper credits. Thank you
I am very willing to be traine as a professional farm instructor to our fellow Filipino people. I am very willing to traine a newest technology on Agriculture.
this is very smart tho but someone explain what happens to those people that work for the landowners for example or do jobs like harvesting(manually). What about them? What happens to them after they lose their job?
Unfair, in 10-20 years tingin ko puro na lang imported ang kakainin natin and that's going to be our countries' downfall kapag hindi nagbago yang mga gahaman.
