Thanks , I needed a quick way to do a percentage with new monthly financial gross and net goal numbers from the previous months left off amount , now I just copy the new numbers down the month column and let your calculation formula do the work , Thumbs up :D
hi using those principle for example adding 3.25% to a cost of £7.73 doesnt work i know tthis is from 2013 but with the office 365 new office & window 10 i can never get it to work as examples here
I used libre office calc for my spreadsheet which I then protected. When I sent it to myself to test the protection, i noticed that after i opened it up with google's doc spreadsheet the protection was no working. Seems to me this was a similar problem with excel as well. Why doesn't the spreadsheet stay protected? Thanks.
#VALUE indicates an issue with data type/formatting. A number used in the formula is probably stored as text. I would check the numbers. Are they right-aligned? If you select them both, does it sum them in the bottom right of the screen? If not, they are not numbers and need converting. Alan. Hi. How do I take $200 in cell b2 and make it 10% higher in cell c2.. I only see formula in c2. I do not see ($220), and how can I see the sum of b2 and c2 in cell D2? And I would like to calculate this all down to row 31. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Me, too - All the tutorials for this deal in a few lines. We don't use Excel for a few lines...We use a pen and paper. We Excel for hundreds of lines...No tutorial...lol
But when I calculated from back end I mean if I want to check that my formula is right or wrong and I do 550-10% then value come 495 insted of 500, so please tell me formula to chek back calculation
Hi. In the second example, line 3 and 4 didnt add 10%. Is that because the absolute reference was not used to hold the 10% when the formula was dragged down?

Computergaga sir i m working in excel and i want to add value like this. For example 200 x 200 in one box. I want to increase 50 on both side like 250 x 250 butt its not work.
If you put the 200's in different cells i.e. 200 in cell A2 and 200 in cell B2. Write the formula =A2*B2 in a cell. Then if you change the values of cells A2 and B2 the answer is updated.
