You find the mean by adding the same numbers and dividing by the numbers involved. Eg if you have 45, 45 which are supposed to occupy the 4th and 5th position. 4+5=9÷2 =4.5 so you fill in 4.5 for each of the 45 positions then you start the next ranking with the 6th position.

N is how many different data sets there are so because there were 5 lots of different numbers it's 5 If it was something like 10 different sets of data n would be 10
