Excellent thank you , I've checked my tank and it's as I thought (70 l) , I'm about 69 litres as its never full. Mathematics was never my strong point , you made this super simple .
Assuming the measurements are inchs....multiply 49"x19"x21" to give cubic inchs value for this this tank...next, because there are 231 cubic inches in a U.S. gallon, so next you will convert from cubic inches into US gallons, so divide your cubic inches value by 231 to give US gallon value for this tank. (if its an imperial gallon then divide your cubic inchs value by 277.42 cubic inches of water).
Super easy and nicely explained. If the length is 11ft and width is 11ft the height is 7ft. Is it going to be 6000+ US gallon tank? I need a tank size around 6100 gallons should i use the same formula as above?
Same formula.....that size tank filled to top would give you 6336 US liquid gallons.......815.4514 cubic feet will give you 6100 US liquid gallons. for an approximate result, multiply the cubic feet volume value by 7.48 to give US liquid gallons Formula is: Width X Length X Height= Volume, so, 11 feet x11feet x Height=815.4514 cubic feet (6100 US Liquid Gallons), so, 11x11=815.4514÷H. so, 121=815.4514÷H so, H=815.4514÷121, This Tanks Height to give 6100 US gallons=6.73 feet
