Agreed, better than any winfield also, you don't need levering for this gun since the hip fire is so fast but accurate and no to mention iron sight and iron eye...
I fired one of these as a kid, only thing different is that mine was loaded from the front end as opposed to the loading gate on the side, which admittedly would've made loading it much easier.
4:38 You reloaded on an empty magazine. However, you cancelled the reload by swapping off the gun mid-reload. This caused you to load three into the magazine without chambering a round. I believe most, if not all guns in Hunt automatically load one into the chamber even if you swap off of it, might be wrong, I’m not too experienced.
What's crazy about it is when your cycling thru shots the cycle animation doesn't interrupt your line of sight with your iron sights at all so you can re aim easier with follow up shots
@@enormousprolapse8813 don’t be angry that someone enjoys not just running the meta weapons. There’s a ton of really fun weapons in the game why be mad when someone is using a different weapon.
@@lukes101010 its not about meta lmao, meta in hunt is kinda dumb anyway. I play whatever i want, whenever i want, idc about money, and i m prestiging everytime i reach 100. Playing only cheap stuff means he doesnt spend money on tools and consumables, which is a detriment to any team. Take some comprehension courses.

You’re also making assumptions about his tools and consumables even tho he never mentions them at all. Telling him to only play solo, as in he would be a hindrance to a team. Im still somewhat of a new player with "just" about 650 hrs in Hunt but i just love the Marathon! It fits my aggressive, close range and rushing playstyle soooo well and it looks great while doing it!
I don't mind meta changes and could live with the ammo nerf but changing the winnie's HV speed from 600 to 500 was a step to far after the thousands of hours I put into learning the leed of 600. Pulling off those 150m headies with compact ammo was easily the most satisfying thing in the game for me.
@HunTLaaR007 I pair it with the katana but if your newer I would maybe go with the conversion with fmj and fanning or a shot shotgun. It's not going to have the two tap range of long ammo the drop off makes it's a medium range weapon. But it'll still pop heads at a decent distance. Just pick your battles.
Winnie/katana has been so fun to play. I try to remain around 4-5star, thats where you see less of the avto, nitro, mosin/dolch etc. This overabundance of cash flow has been really bad, the economy is so fucked theres no going back, soon they might aswell make weapons free.
Newbie question: at 4:52 he loots the person in the outhouse and one of the loot items is what looks to be an X-symbol. On the left side of the screen it shows 4/4 next to that same symbol, with 37 being in a circle. What is the X-like symbol, what is 37, and where to do you get those (Hunter kills?) and what do you use them for?
I think that Winfields have been due to getting a bit of velocity buff, especially winnie c silencer. Now that Marathon has slightly higher MV winfields should match it imo
when i get this gun on free hunter, i feeled like i got 40% better aim and start headshotting everyone. This ironsight is just OP, especcially with this rate of fire
RachtaZ bro, after changing the magazine of the gun, look at the circles showing the number of bullets in the bottom right. If the first one is empty it will not fire, if not it will fire :)) After all, after the bullet leaves the gun, it needs to take the next bullet into the chamber, right? (While watching this video, I saw that it was, but I did not experience it myself.)
Of course, I'm not as experienced as you in the game, but when we swap weapons when the magazine runs out in the game, no weapon automatically changes the magazine. When we try to shoot, it changes because it is empty. Could it be that a gun with more than one bullet in a single magazine is what we are not used to? What I'm talking about is the crossbow, romero, springfield, spark etc. Since we change the gun very quickly before the bullet goes into the chamber, the chamber is empty when we pick up the gun again. It makes sense in a way. I don't know bro this is the comment of someone who only understands guns but doesn't even have 500 hours in the game. 😅@@RachtaZ
bro you need to switch to hunter controls and never go back for one. Second I'm pretty sure you just hit the melee button. But your melee button should be LMB in hunt tbh.
Switching without finishing a reload animation and having the gun work is the actual bug as i see it. But it's used as a "mechanic" (Reload cancelling) in some guns in Hunt so that may a good excuse to not call it that.@@RachtaZ
Devs confirmed its a bug, there is no mechanic like that in Hunt because its unnecesary and would create bad gunplay. Especially for new players @@AtomicFeasT
@@RachtaZ Can you direct me to wherever the devs mentioned this, I'd like to know if it's true or if you might be confusing weapon cycling for a reload bug that was patched out a little while back.
It's a trait you can get that makes the katana do more damage for one swing. Martial ARtist it's called I think. When you have the weapon you can press alt fire to change how you attack.
because that round has to be pumped into the chamber from the internal magazine. basically, from empty, you can’t reload to full. it’s not a bug, winfield, vetterli, spectre, and bornheim all also work this way.
@@IncitefulHomoeroticEncounterI think the reason people are calling it a bug is because it doesn’t chamber automatically after re-equipping, but I mean, doesn’t seem to be a bug to me if it consistently chambers after you click after having previously cancelled the animation. It works like that in many other more realistic games where it doesn’t automatically do it when you pull it out.
Beginners? I've got 700 hours in the game and been enjoying this gun more than most of those I used to play before. They are definitely going to nerf it. The hipfire is too good :(
I hate this gun. My brain is wired to pump-action = powerful shotgun. I much prefer the Winfield since the recoil isn't so annoying and you can opt in for high velocity.
this is definitely not perfect even worst weapon for begginers. Can you please look how much you need to lead to take a shot 1:10 . How's it possible for a begginer to get a shot like that :)))
Beginners won't hit a shot like that ever. Winfield was considered the best weapon for new players until now since it's easy to play + all the reasons I mentioned in the video. You can't tell them to play Mosin when they buy the game
Rachta, The weapon misfires if you reload and switch to your secondary before the animation is complete. The same thing happens with the revolvers (once empty and you reload you have to wait for the "spin" animation with the cylinder before you change weapons or else it will do it when you take it back out.
Would be funny if they added a slamfire trait in the game, it would make this gun really deadly at close range with its tight hipfire spread... But to be honest it would be the only thing good about slamfire trait because people would take the Slate then and obliterate everything in mere seconds ( tbh Terminus already can be used with levering so why not add slamfire then Crytek)
too bad marathon isn't available to new players, lmao! What level in the battlepass do you unlock it again? I've played the game for 22 hours recently, and i've only reached like level 5 or 6 on the battlepass progress, by the time i unlock this gun, i would already be a veteran HS gamer. :P

I dunno man, i think this gun is prett OP for its price range. What other gun even compares in mid range? And it also got great iron sights, good headshot range and a huge magazine. The winfield C seems utterly outclassed, even with levering.
i stop playing this only bcz ammo problem they have nerf machine gun they nerf all weapons ammo and now people dont have free to play this very fast runout ammo
Honestly Winfield with leverering and iron eye or the scope perks for the marksman is what I'd use, since new players mostly get body shots it's so easy to aim in and two tap quickly with it but that's just me because I'm still not great with hip firing even after 700 hours. But then again this game is weird and I'm always changing my favorite gun sometimes I do great with the winny and sometimes I'm a mosin or Springfield guy, another gun that's easy to hit yours shots with is the lemat carbine and it comes with a good shotgun
Agree with EVERYTHING you said. But it feels weird. I can’t explain. I almost like something’s off programming. I thought I’d lost all skill and switched back to Winfield. Nope. Just marathon. Speed or sights just don’t feel right. Fun to try though!
Is it bugged, though? When you cancel animation, you cancel pumping, so the loaded bullet don't go into chamber - so, you need to pump it when you take your gun next time, because there is no bullet in the chamber! You canceled it going there yourself!
When you cancelled the reload, the hunter didn't rack the handle, so there was no round in the chamber. The leftmost ammo indicator was empty then. However at 8:15 that indicator only has a tiny dot in it, so maybe this is a feature mixed with a bug?
