The Chicago Bears still need to sign both their 2024 1st round pick from the NFL draft in USC QB Caleb Williams and Washington WR Rome Odunze.
The Bears currently have $21.6mil in cap ATM, still leaving them a nice chunk of change to go out and spend. Will they use that all on their rookies? No way.
Caleb Williams is likely to get a 4-year, fully guaranteed contract larger than Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young's, but not by much, and not nearly with as big of a cap hit as a veteran starting QB in the NFL like Patrick Mahomes is making.
Rome Oduzne, who was drafted 9th overall, could have a similar contract to Eagles DT Jalen Carter, who was also taken at 9th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The two put together would still leave Chicago with over $10mil in cap, and that could be big for bringing in a key veteran at EDGE or Center.
Tune in now!
