It makes Roodles day to go for a hike! He still has enough energy to play ball after though. Have you seen his new hair cut yet? I think it will be in the next video. Just remember it was Carrie that gave the hair cut..not me. 😂😂😂

Spent a week there. Awesome place. Don't for get Escalante. Great coverage guys. We were there in fall and the campground was packed. Another couple pulled in and we let them camp with us. We made the best friends in Calf Creek.

That's awesome how you let them stay with you and they turned out to be your friends! We had the same thing happen in Maine last year and have life long friends now. Yes, we do need to go back for Escalante and Capitol Reef. I look forward to future return trips. 😀

Wow! Highway 12 is such a beautiful drive. Such a calming video...your videos are always a brightspot in my day. That hike was awesome...stunning views and wonderful music. That sunset! Gorgeous! The boon docking spot with the snow...so pretty! Winter time..is for sure harder to keep things clean. Great job on the video!!!💖

YES!!! Wouldn’t that have been awesome!!! Unfortunately no drone flying allowed in the area! I really wanted him to drone us driving hogback ridge ... the part with canyons on both sides and no guard rails!!! Again, no drone allowed here! That’s okay 👌 it was still beautiful😃

Now that is a beautiful waterfall. If I knew I was hiking to such a cool waterfall and no one else would be there I'd be packing my bio friendly soap and shampoo with me in anticipation of a free shower under the water fall, for sure! Every time! BTW at the end of this video you said twice that you were starting to head south, but when you left to go to Torrey Utah you went NORTH of Calf Creek Falls. You did not go south, why?

Made that trip in August backwards. From capitol reef to Bryce. Tried to stop at the falls but there was no parking left around 9:30 in the morning. Thought we would look again on our way back to capitol reef that afternoon, but fires in Colorado said otherwise

Hi Dave, Carrie and Roodle. We really enjoy your channel and have been binge-watching all your videos :) We are so jealous of you and the public lands you have in the US which allow boondocking. We are in the UK and it's illegal for us to 'wild-camp' in a van/motor home anywhere. We have to use camp sites :( What made you choose a 'van' to convert rather than, say, a pickup camper? Keep on 'advanturing', Jill & Jerry :)

Hi Jerry, thank you for the kind words! We are currently camping with a couple that has the pickup camper set up and now I don't have a good answer for you because it is an awesome setup.😂 We do love our van and because we built it ourselves it suits us well, plus we know how to repair anything that breaks. We could not have afforded this lifestyle if we had to pay to camp. You guys need to come here and explore, we will be happy to show you the ways. 😀😀

Just a cleanliness tip. I always take wifey shoes off at entrance side door. Then I enter driver door and remove shoes. I removed the bin on lower part of door to put muddy shoes to dry. Then enter Van between seats. Dirty shoes never go in the living area.

8 years of watching travel and adventure videos and I think that's the first time I have seen that water falls ❤. Another must see destination. As always a thumbs up, I could base camp and spend weeks exploring with the jeep there . 👍👍👍

The opposite side of the Brice Canyon there is a vast array of free camping with forest roads all over the place. We explored for hours but we're limited due to road conditions. You would have a fantastic time here with your Jeep.There are hundreds of places to camp with nearly no people.

Boots rubber like the type farmer's use easy on off and are good for trail walking do not get steel toe ones they freeze,wool socks...I'm looking only 15.6 k amazing should be much higher with the great video's alone never mind the amazing places you find..Thank You!!

A little history on Calf Creek. A few years ago the old man who owned the land let a bunch of hippies live there. Without his knowledge they planted a bunch of pot plants. The feds showed up and tried to seize his property. The thanks he got for being a nice old man!

I think it was around 15 at night and 40 degrees during the day. Did you recognize the drone footage at the end? There was snow on the ground but that was the same place you camped. 😀😀😀

We do carry bear spray when there are bears in the area. Carrie does not like rattlesnakes so we are on the lookout constantly. Honestly, we are more concerned about other people while in a city than wildlife in the country. 😀
