The legendary director will share his thoughts on creating some of fandom's seminal classics, from Halloween to The Thing, from Starman to Big Trouble in Little China, and everywhere in between!
Arguably the greatest Director of his Generation, Assault On Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape From New York, The Fog, The Thing, They Live, Starman, Prince Of Darkness. John Carpenter Master of Cinema.
33:31 His reaction to the guy saying he had advice for him was hilarious. Also, you'd think in an age when it's easier to do a little research than ever before, that the guy asking the question would know that a. that's not how financing a film works and b. there have been comic spinoffs of some of Carpenter's stories already.
Seriously, the guy has said over and over again that the studios own the rights to basically everything he's made. That's the case for just about every film maker unless you're a major producer too. Even if that wasn't the case its not like comic sales on movies from the 80s are going to make much money. I mean shit do people even read comics anymore?
Dude, the true message from Jack Burton is that now matter how insignificant or big of a screw up someone is, they can still be the most important piece of something... think of what would have happened if old jack burton never existed!!! 👍😎👍
I see a lot of these, can you guy start asking questions other than the same old shit? Like the questions aren’t even that interesting if your a fan of carpenter, do much to show up, than you should be able to come up with something original lol
