We just took an Uber in New York. The ride was 23 miles it took about 35 minutes. It cost me $103 US plus we gave the driver a $20 tip. Too bad you aren’t making that kind of money where you are doing Uber. It would make your life easier.
yeah, rates here are cheaper. I just took a rider 35 KM or 22 miles to their destination and Uber paid me CAD$32 or US$24; which I'm still quite happy about. There was not tip; and after sitting there for 40 minutes I drove 30 KM back home empty ;)
Sergei, I’ve been watching your videos since your International, don’t take offence, you are a man with many talents however you never stick to one. Now in your almost retirement years you should prepare for “winter” old age. Before investing in upgrade vehicles for Uber XL, make sure you can afford all your payments. I saw myself in your story, however from the age of 21 to 31, with 4 years of military service. Got focused and retired at 57 however it was also due to health. I do hope the best for you, just sit down and calculate your losses and don’t repeat them. Best of Luck.
He cant, everything is too expensive with inflation and trucking rates are in the toilet. Once 1/3 of truckers quit trucking, it'll be good time to get into trucking away.
The higher end passengers are usually in the latter part of of the day ( dinner or entertainment) so before you upgrade your vehicle you should see if there is data on passengers using high end rides. Not sure where you can get that type data .
I had the same experience in reverse with Lyft. When I called for a cab, there was one in the area, but as soon as I confirmed the order, it was a different story, the closest car was much farther away. Forget that.
