I did also confirm today that the Baja designs covers will still fit as well. I ordered an amber cover for foggy mornings and I will keep you guys updated on how it goes. Maybe another video to come showing the output on the road
Thank you for making this video. Just ordered my LP6 yesterday for my '23 RKS. Like you, I live in the country and even though H-D offers stock LED headlight, it still sucks, especially in comparison to the Baja. Great camera work, btw. Loved your outtro-aerial shots.
Nice clean install and beautiful bike ! Cool ! Very cool! Just came across your channel, I'm happy to support you and other fellow motovloggers. Keep up the great work and ride safe out there my friend 💯💯👍👍
I ride a '21 RGS and really seriously considering these LP6 headlights upgrade after I complete my front fat tire kit 180x5.5x18 upgrade... When the time comes to install these LP6 headlights, I will be installing a couple of light control switches so that I can turn on & off either the amber or white headlight if there are LEOs lurking in my neck of the woods here in San Diego, CA...lol...but considering how crazy "cager" drivers are out here, if they cannot hear your you , they will at least see you especially that Amber LP6 makes it visible in the sea of white led lights on the freeway/highway... Thanks for sharing and I like that you recorded some night light tests and that is really what counts is how good are these LP6 vs the factory stock and it it worth the cost/expense...what is amazing with these LP6 lights is the great amount of wide angle lights it throws to the ground...my factory stock lights are so narrow that taking corners at night is like scary at night.
Great video. I just got my LP6 for my SG, and getting ready to install it. So you were able to fish the harness through without taking the tank off? Some people said you need to
Very detailed video with great bits of advise! I just ordered the same kit from Get Lowered Cycles. Love the comparison between the headlight before and after. What turn signals do you have on your front forks? Do you feel they are the same color or “temperature” as the head light?
Great video! And the light looks amazing. I’d like to do this to my bike but my question is, does this light open up more opportunities for water to enter the inner fairing because the ring doesn’t seal around the light as the stock light does? Thanks!
Yes everything is supposed to be water right behind there, but I actually had a piece of waterproof fabric from a cheap waterproof seat cover form Walmart for pets that I cut a piece out of and attached to the back of the faring leaving the bottom side open so it would catch any water and just let it drain straight down
Good video. I recently installed this also and am having trouble getting the trim ring installed as well. I replayed that section several times but I am not sure if I followed how you did it. Did you remove the little top aluminum retainer piece altogether?
I did have a lot of trouble. And what I found to work was I did take the top retainer loose but I left the inward side of the retainer (the side that is closest to the bike faring) in the track on the bezel where it locks into. I got the trim ring in place and got the tab on the retainer lined up with the hole that the indexing tab locks into on the headlight bracket. Once I got it lined up I popped the outer most legs of the retainer that I had popped out of the trim ring back into the track on the trim ring. Then put in the screw at the bottom. Hope this helps
just subbed... thanks for this video best one on the tube by far..i'm thinking about buying this for my 21 street glide that's a lot of work for a headlight i wonder why didn't they make it like any other light my custom dynamic you just unplug it and plug it in takes 4 seconds i don't get why they made it a project !! i'm still going to buy it though because i really do like it..i wish you had a discount code! hahaha
If your talking about the amber parking light built into the housing, yes it should work. That being said I did have to fix one of the crimps on my connector when I was doing the install because of one of the wires pulling out. So check all of your wire connections at each terminal
These lights pull a little more power than a standard low power led motorcycle headlight. Which is why the output is so much greater than anything else you can buy on the market
All of the plug and play lights will be almost the same output as the stock led. It uses the stock harness for control and uses a relay and battery feed for the power
