oh man - i hadnt heard this song in well over a decade and a half. the chorus took me straight back to memories of the highs and lows of my teen years. great times, great band.
I’ve been listening to them since 2007. It’s Our Burden to Bleed was the first song I heard from Caliban and is what got me into metal core and heavy metal. Nothing is Forever my favorite song from them.
+Bre Sylvester Metalcore is different to metalcore... metal core more break downy and by far better than Death metal imo, but each to their own. #Caliban :-D
@@cloudyxx8903 I think ur thinking of melodic death metal. Metalcore like this is the offspring of melodic deathmetal bands like dark tranquility, old inflames and amon amarth. Death metal isn't melodic and ppl often bunch death metal with melodic death metal which gets annoying cus ppl think they are some cool kids listening to deathmetal when it isn't. I mainly listen to melodic deathmetal and my entry point to metal was metalcore kse aild etc. The new metalcore of this generation is djent.
2020 still banging this, still tearing my vocal cords to sing this, still shredding it on the guitar! So many good memories along this song! Thank You for pouring it into my heart!
2020 and we are still have all caliban cds playing constantly since the opposite from within days. Please never stop making music. we still love you and always will!
I love this band, they really kick ass live (I've seen them 4 times). I really liking Gravity! But this song... Wow, still gives me goosebumps :) Cheers from Belgium
Been following them for ages : discovered them while working at Dour festival in Belgium back in 2002 and holy SHIT what a shock it was for 22 yo me seing them live. I religiously bought every record since (except for Zeitgeister, which I'm having trouble to get except for an overpriced import, idk why). Tbh I quite like their new stuff : Elements is pretty great, I enjoyed Zeitgeister (even if I didn't understand 95% of the lyrics) and Dystopia seems good (only listened to it once as I'm typing this). But man am I missing those fast, catchy riffs and epic choruses by Denis. Anyhow, I'd still follow them even if they got into post-rock or fucking dubstep.
I remember...was my First girlfriend...and i was listening Metal Sinne Iron Maiden (90‘s begin)...and THIS was a FUCKKKkkk NEW Sound !!! It was the Birth of Metalcore...the emotional Core...this aggressiv line..mannn this was my Life..😍
Certainty of emptiness, trustful New pain and thoughts of the path 2mal there is just one Constance, Nothings for ever! Time of calm and peace, Time to look inside, Relic pictures of past, black & white deceives, Uncovers the glance for my grief Nothings for ever! (From above the dark sky of the night Watches instructive my inner fight, ) I gave my heart, my blood, Nothing is forever (but eternity) Time of calm and peace, Time to look inside, Relic pictures of past, black & white deceives, Uncovers the glance for my grief Nothings for ever!!! And in the end only haze remains Nothing is forever I gave my heart, my blood, Nothing is forever (but eternity) Certainty of fate, fatal emptiness An empty hope for future, How shapeless (the) fate shows, I fight for something eternal Time of calm and peace, Time to look inside, Relic pictures of past, black & white deceives, Uncovers the glance for my grief Nothings for ever!
