Calibrate a 3D Printer Extruder Printhead - Prusa i3 and Reprap 

Thx for the vid...will the Repetier software work with the Prusa i3 Mk2s ? As I am having under extrusion and would need to flash the eprom for the proper extrusion

Doing this will I have to keep using the software when ever I want to print something or can I do it through SD card print?

nice vid , you explain it rly well but the A8 & the Tronxy p802(what i have) it's also possible to do all this on ur printer aswell ... just in case some ppl don't know :p

Should the Anet A8 be set to 100 mm? because i did this test last night my printer in the options is at 95 steps and it took 105 to get the marked line to the level which means it is accurate but just wondering why default the printer is 95 and not 100?

why cant i open the configurations

I think my extruder is broken because it went 252 mm to get to the 100 mm line.

and remember folks if it aint broken dont touch it, I actually did this and my extrusion is crazy now

The formula isn't right in my opinion. We need to know how many steps it takes to get 100mm. So, if it takes 108 1mm extrusions to get 100mm of real material extruded, and if your current setting is 95 steps per/mm it takes 108*95 (10260) steps to get 100mm. 1mm would take 10260/100 (102.6) steps. In the case of this video it took 96 1mm extrusions to get 100mm of material. That means it took 96*102 (9792) steps to get 100mm of material, which would result in 97.92 steps per mm. The formula should be: (Number of 1mm extrusions * current) / 100

no offence but that was more then a bit of overextrusion like jeez
