not possible, baofeng can only tune into uhf/vhf frequencies and the fm band is located in vhf so thats how come it can tune into those. am band is located in mf (medium frequency) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_wave
Stooop…… why tf do we have to go look up what your trying to say. What is dcs what is ctss we don’t know. And you made a 3 min video on shit you had to study for. Nice job no help here.
How do you transmit on fm stations? Just wanna fuck with friends in local area. 1. I’m in the UK-none of that federal mandatory sentence shit please, & 2. I don’t care. Please just tell me how to do it Love y’all n keep it crip 55th
Sadly, doesn’t work. A radio without the DCS/CT setup can still hear you transmit. You just can’t TX to them or RX from them. I’ve tried with 3 versions of the UV-5 and a Tidradio H8, doesn’t work on any of them.
Caps on speakers are always for voting certain signals. In this case they are cutting lower signals from the tweeters to protect them. Further more capacitors for stored energy are only ever used for car audio amplifier. Smh. BTW hope you keep the sand out of those tweeters.
So the repeater im trying to use just says FM DCS 26. My question is when you go into that setting T-DCS there is no 26. Just D026I. If thats just the why it is why not put D026I instead of just 26.
Lol just brought it, that better 8 w as in car parked, & used with tiny creative pebble, very clean fullrange 2" speaker, and brought a creature 3 sub alone 50 b. that don't work w/ out the satellite speaker 120 b. It's perfect fir the sub and see how chips the midrange is to use or not used the creative tiny amp. Should be a super full range as I love low volume bass at about 15-20 watts, and the original creature 2 was fantastic but 60 watt. Newer 3 is a tiny 3" at 28 watt. Going to beat that. I love the serperate bass and treble LOL
Thank you. Much appreciated. I own the slightly upgraded model of the UV-5R, the BF-F8HP, and was curious if there's a way to store FM channels? I understand how to place it in FM mode, and I also have the OEM programming cable. Just can't figure out how to store a commercial FM broadcast frequency. If it doesn't have that capability... it's not a deal breaker. Thanks again.

I have a BF-F8HP. Looks like SQL has to be at least 1 (as James Seabolt said in a different comment for the UV-10R) AND you can't be receiving any sort of signal on whatever your current frequency is set to. You have to find an empty frequency before you can press call to switch to FM.
