Why are some of you "PROS" giving this man such a hard time. I have read some comments. And hey this is for free. You don't have to buy any hardware for a lot of money. Then guess how to use it. If the way MR: Borodenko makes your monitor look different. And you don't like it. You can always set it to "DEFAULT" and your right back where you started. So give the man his props.
you're a lifesaver! I just bought M8 to use with my mac m1 pro and when it arrived today I was shocked of the washed out colors and uncalibrated settings. This video saved my life, it's such a luck that you posted this video 20 hours ago... rly incredible timing thank you!!!!

For the Samsung M8, switch the picture settings to Natural, not Standard. The white balance settings and all other settings work fine. I shifted by 1 or 2 points at most for my own liking..
wanted to calibrate my monitor for accurate colors but unfortunately i am missing the eyes part of the requirement, any recommendations for where i can buy new ones?

i got this ips monitor its 100%srbg 91dci p3 but i didn't lile the clolors at all its like yellow or smt not white i tried to use w10 coloration it was a bit better not yellow anymore but still colors looks wrong tbh only hdr content looks good everything else like games ect some looks green some looks just wrong
I just got this monitor (pretty late to the game I know) this video really helped! However, it seems like the settings reset all of the time, like when I put my Mac to sleep. Anyone solve for that?
Sorry for the delayed response. If you're still having this issue, try navigating to menu - connected devices - select your mac, press down on the remote - edit - name it and select device type either as PC or game console. Check that game mode is turned off in settings - all settings - game. And verify that your monitor is not in a retail mode - settings - all settings - general and privacy - system manager - usage mode. Hope this helps and congratulations on your purchase!
Text is sharp, but everything's way too small at native 4K resolution. I've set a scaled resolution (3008x1692) - looks great, but it comes with a minor performance hit due to how MacOS handles scaling, which in most scenarios is completely unnoticeable. 27 inch 5K monitor would be best in terms of quality and best compatible with MacOS.
Pros never calibrate their monitors like that, they use hardware calibration tools. Even pros with super excellent background in color critical jobs NEVER trust their eye to calibrate - this is simply not possible. Advising amateurs to do it by just judging picture with their eyes is inviting a complete failure of calibration.
He did say in the beginning that this is for users who don't have expensive colorer monitor. Those pro colorist have a high quality monitor for color grading. I don't think normal cheap monitors are capable to calibrate colors like those high end monitors What do you propose for people who don't have color monitor and they wanna grade their videos for social media? They grade in their cheap monitor and then when delivered, the color on the phone does not match the monitor and they don't have a monitor calibrator
