Calibration of Microscopic Ocular Micrometer

This video explains how a stage micrometer can be used to calibrate an ocular micrometer. It will go through the mathematical calculations needed to calculate the number of micrometers for each ocular division based on a 4x, 10x and 40x objective lens used in combination with a 10x ocular lens.

I did this practical back in 2016 during my bachelors. Unfortunately, I forgot all that and wanted to revise my practical. Luckily, I come across your video. OMG, being a microbiologist, I never come through such a tremendous explanation of micrometery. Hats off to you. Please upload all basic practicals of microbiology related to staining techniques as well.

That's awesome. Remember, with math problems, there are many ways to get to the same answer. Therefore, other instructors may show you a different way. Just keep asking until it makes sense. Good for you!
