It's incredible how back then they could take a tiny premise and somehow stretch it out to forty or fifty pages of script.

@Addison Ates Television was so much different back then. When watching even classic shows like Happy Days, I'm surprised that the plots are so simple. They're like a single paragraph of a plot stretched out for twenty minutes. Now a half hour sitcom would usually have two and often three plots intertwined.

Miss the simple times of the late 70s early 80s. Hang 10, OP, Hobbie and all the other brands we wore from millers outpost.

I couldn't remember the name of this show to save my life. I was 12 and only saw a part of one episode, but thought that Gross Mobile was badazz!! Jacked-Up 4x4's became my hobby for 35+yrs. I spent an hour tryin' to look up the name of the "Gross Mobile". I searched for "Trash Mobile", "Garbage Mobile" and "Trash Monster" with no luck. Luckily I searched Wikipedia for 1978 CBS programming and saw it in the "1979-80 United States network television schedule" wiki page for Tues night. Thanks for uploading this!!

@@ricka7747 Got anymore episodes comin'?? A big unicorn out there is finding anything on the "Cliffwood Avenue Kids". It aired in the late 70's on Saturday Mornings (early 8AM'ish) after that weird "Hot Fudge Show". I remember the characters names were actually their real life names. The lead was played by Poindexter Yothers and he was related to someone famous but can't remember. There's absolutely ZERO footage to be found. The entire show seems to have mysteriously vanished.

Tom Chisom and Jimmy Olson in the same show. How could this not be a hit?

California Fever was programmed by CBS in the same timeslot as the established hit lineup of Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley on ABC. HD and L&S were too popular at the time.

This episode is a lot better than the pilot which I have also seen and is now on RU-vid. It would be nice if you made it available for download as well.
