California City: "The city was formed in 1958, when developers purchased 82,000 acres of western Mojave Desert. The new city was aggressively marketed." It failed. It destroyed the environment too. Look it up. Don't try this again!
How about an update on the lawsuits: the Flannery group/CA Forever is still suing several farmers who refused to sell their properties, for $500 million.
Watch my recent live stream on this story, I discuss how CF relates to that, and talk about how its investors are tied to epstein and ghislaine maxwell
Things definitely need fixing in CA. But this is new investment money, no doubt promising a tax windfall to Solano bureaucrats (though certainly MUCH reduced!) Just to put things in perspective, the Solano plan is LITERALLY ONE THOUSAND times bigger than San Francisco's 48 square miles.
@@AlvaBarr ever heard of europe or anywhere else on the planet? step outside of your bubble for once and you'll realize were the ones doing urbanism wrong. its truly horrible having multiple choices for transportation in your opinion, no?
@@yungtitynac ever heard of learning how to communicate intelligently and civilly with a stranger where you give your opinion and convey your message without a "know it all", condescending approach, assuming or acting like you know any thing about a complete stranger?? Your first sentence: "ever heard of europe or anywhere else on the planet?" What dip💩 says that? Lol. @@shizueleighhicks6174 In 1940 Fairfield had a population of 1,312. In 1942 the year in which the "Air Force Base" (Fairfield-Suisun Army Air Base, later named Travis AFB) whose name you can't recall was established. Travis AFB was annexed to Fairfield in 1966 when the city had a population of 18,800 and has been the city's largest employer by far for just about forever. So, what's your point?
@@willowsloughdx The location and the purported buyers are problematic. I’m in San Rafael. Our local news has been carrying stories about the stalled purchase process. Local voters were going to vote on it, but it’s hit a roadblock. Nothing more to tell.
@@shizueleighhicks6174 Solano County voters must vote to change the zoning of California Forever land from agricultural to residential. If they do investors will make a bundle even if the land is never developed, oddly enough. Voters should demand a complete EIR before this vote happens. This region is maxed out for groundwater extraction and new sources of imported water for 400,000 news residents will be required because Lake Berryessa and Barker Slough imports were maxed out 40 years ago.
Hmmm...I wonder if this is going to be like that "railway" they "started" building and spent BILLIONS of dollars and never finished? You know, from one side of CA to the other. A lot of money going into lost causes...BUT, someone at least is getting the money. Some(one)!

South Bay billionaires, my foot. Try Chinese “ghost buyer.” Travis AFB needs to move to Alaska. Where are our leaders? Politicians? Anyone smell fishy🤨
This is the kind of thing that keeps me from going back to commiefornia. People need a place with no concrete to breathe. Developers better hit rock bottom and figure it out on their own or residents are going to make sure they do
I am from Boston and the Boston area is getting very built up. I agree with you that people need a place with no concrete to breath, but the idiot liberals here tell people they are racist for thinking that way. People need space. We are not meant to be on top of each other.
@@Lou.B I mean within California. We do need more housing and there is plenty of open land in Cali. They don’t need to cram some city next to a military base in a congested area.
