I grew up dairy farming in West Central Wisconsin. I've seen a lot through the years but this is the biggest bunch of BS I've ever seen. We worked so hard to grow a good crop for our cows. This is another reason California needs to break off and slide into the ocean
Man you all fell for this hook line and sinker! When you growa cover crop it is cut down and allowed to turn into mulch over winter then it is tilled into the soil.
Here in Canada we got paid to dump our milk also. We have people STARVING in the world but the government didn't say hey we could send that to third world countries and feed people.
Why is the California government paying this farmer(s) to destroy his own crop.somthing is wrong with that and all the people should be asking the same question.
No need to make this political unless you call out the guy who posted it!! He posted a trolling video. It’s a cover crop that is being distributed around the fields to nurture the soil and allow the next years crops the nutrients that it needs from the soil. Farmers do this to ensure future crops and higher yields with less water usage.
One can look at it from the point of being a cover crop / Green manure and is worked back into the soil. In essence you are keeping your nutrients home for future crops. Thank you for your videos …🇺🇸
It doesn't help the soil the cut down corn and leaves it in the field. If yall believe this man I don't know about yall people all over the US going with food yall are out of this wold
We did this in the 70s when I was on the farm soon as corn got chopped in the fall spread Rye seed hit it once with a rolloharrow in the spring plow it under and plant corn for fall silage
Farmers plant a variety of cover cops to amend the soil nutrients and keep moisture and to stop top soil from blowing away. Here in Michigan winter wheat, rye, and some alfalfa is used after corn or soybean harvest. It can be tilled back into the soil before replanting or left alone.
@@blauer2551 He said in another comment here that it's not a cover crop. This is the second time I've fallen for watching this guy's retarded videos. Going to have to be more careful i guess. Sad to feed the algorithm by even posting this comment.
Just the way to drive up the prices for that type of crop to consumers. Could've at least made it into silage. Oh wait, this is California we are talking about after all.
Näyttäis kyllä pikemminkin liian märältä alueelta jotta vois edes ajatella kerättäväksi. Joskus tuolla on sellaisiakin syksyjä. Viime syksy taas oli niin kuiva että maa pöllysi.
