California and South Dakota played in the Winners Bracket in the 2021 Little League World Series. The winner would advance to the Tom Seaver Bracket Championship on Saturday.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

No doubt Gavin is a stud; let’s not forget California’s starter. The only run was by a passed ball third strike. If it went to extra innings California would of won but that’s baseball. Hopefully, Gavin hasn’t peaked at twelve years old. Sometimes these great Little League Players peak and the other kids catch up. The California pitcher threw nasty pitches.

The peak happens with kids that are physically advanced (stronger) than their peers. Skills or natural talent are less likely to hit a peak if you continue to develop it. So Weir is taller/bigger than most in his age group but he does have skills and good pitching form. He normally plays against 14 year olds.

They give him alot of calls that aren't strikes.... obviously kids really good no doubt about it,but the umps shouldn't be giving him extra help. That doesn't teach him to get better with control and focus or help the team at bat to look for good pitches and be patient. I know its only little league but thats where the good or bad habits all stem from.
@Dejusticed
@Dejusticed 2 года назад
@@damien1869 This is what I was saying. I went 18-0 in my 11 and 12 year old years combined. If I got these strikes I would have made these kids look like 5 year olds. Any control pitchers at this age with this strike zone would murder this LLWS. I threw at max 60, with pin point control and never made the catchers glove move. Back in those days umps didn't change the strike zones for kids, we had the same at every level. Give me this strike zone I had thrown so many no hitters it would have been nuts. P.S. there were double digit kids in my day throwing over 70, had 4 high school QB's in my LL and 2 college QB's. These kids got rocked all the time, because back then we were taught real hitting skills, kids these days are just not very good hitters, and you can tell these even in the pros with defensive shifts. You couldn't do shifts in those days because hitters would just poke holes into that garbage.

I wonder how these coaches really speak to their players when they know they’re not mic’d up. Also if you’ve got such faith in your other starter to pitch a gem in the championship you should have faith in him to finish out this game. I’m saving Gavin for the championship if they make it there.
