Perhaps water retention systems investment for future generations. Rather than things like high-speed trains? Historical records show that California has these storms every 30 years. Let's hope the release of water is calibrated in accordance with the end of these systems so that we have full reservoir for later use.

Why are the words changing around weather. These things were el’nino before, now we see ‘atmospheric river’ as if this sort of thing is abnormal when it isn’t
Wow at like 50 secs she says that the levies that need work done will be vulnerable.. Instead of sending trillions of dollars overseas.. Why dont we allocate just alittle bit of that to the "stuff that needs work on here" that can help save our own. Hence.. Ohio... Hence places that have no clean water???.. Im not saying we shouldnt help other countries.. But whats that old saying.. "Put your oxygen mask on first" the ole "cant save others if you dont save yourself?".. If Enough of us die.. There wont be anymore money to send out to other countries.. Idk just a thought.. She is a great reporter though. Way better than anyone else ive heard in awhile. I remember being a young child in the 80's they swore up n down California would an island. As teen in the 90's they said again I am just wondering if it's going to happen now, considering I nvr seen California take so much on as far as water n snow? Global warming has taken on a force that has become more dangerous. Born n raised in Vegas n it does snow here but we get pounded up in the mountains more then the city.
This has happened before. It snowed in the 50s 2x & we made snowmen. It didn’t snow again in the city until 1970 & we ran out of our classes in LA. We have had flooding also. We just knew not to build homes in certain areas.
