Cool review Shane. It awesome , the gear that can be had today. From all walks of genre and pricing. I'm using a Boss Me80 now which I upgraded to the older model from gt1 which I thoroughly enjoyed , but now, I am able to learn and get more time adjusting knobs easier and in real time without having to shift through menus. Hahah. I hope to get a Cab Box soon to utilize the advanced tonal options they offer. This thing has all the basic effects I need for now. And for my deeper love of reverbs , Sweet Valhalla Supermassive. Great to see you enjoying that Fusion T HH FNT. I truly love mine too.

The new Mosky audio M series pedals are amazing value. 4 pedals in each with voice switch. The Big Fuzz Tone Bender is incredible. 80$ for a 5000$ tone Bender and Big Muff, and M Fuzz and Boost. I also bought the 4 in 1 Klon clone. Germanium and silicon too. All 4 klons for 80 Australian. Awesome. Thank you for the video

I have the stack attack, I bought it from artist guitars when they first got them in just by chance. It is an amazing pedal that really sits well in front of most things (even a metal zone).

If you like Dumble tones, there’s an effects maker in SA called ADLFX who makes a great clone of the Simble OD. ADLFX has a shop on eBay. The Simble clone was under $120 and it’s hand made using great components. The Simble clone replaced my Wampler Euphoria.

Wow, the overdrives are real contenders and the distortion sounded awesome on minimum.

Hi I saw that some caline m fuzz pedals have white knobs and a different pedal or are they the same?

I have a few Caline pedals and they’re some of my favorites! Nice build quality to be so inexpensive. Not to be “conspiracy boy,” but here’s something to ponder, I wonder if you opened up some of these new models, would you find the circuit boards have the model number from some of their older models stamped on them, making them rebranded versions?? Had to wonder because they have so many out there. 🤔✌🏻🎸

Caline pedals are very much underrated. I have their Klon type pedal and it is flawless.

Iv’e got the multimod and the only usable effect i found was the chorus witch sounds great.

The Old School Reverb sounds 100% "pro". Definitely getting one to record with. The Wonderland is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard, but would I use it enough to justify getting it?

Yes, slow rate on the chorus is the way to go, along with a fairly high depth. Good to see it's a mono pedal. Stereo chorus pedals don't really work for me unless they're actually played in stereo.

The queen bee seems very orange like in the mid to upper harmonics especially...a nod to orange amp in the box? Seems screamer like midd

Man, more pedals to lust over. At least they are reasonably priced!! That santa carla and queen bee stacked sounded epic. Appreciate the volume knob adjustment. But how cranked is your amp? I suspect not hugely loud as you are not wearing ear muffs.

I only use drive pedals, 'cause i get my other effects (modulation, delay, and reverb) from my amps, since I use modeling amps. I have the Mellow Drive, the Queen Bee, the Enchanted Tone, the Stack Attack, and I've also had the Pure Sky, Orange Burst, Midlander, and Big Orange, but you left out the Medusa, which is their newer of their 2 Klon klones, and is the higher gain one of the 2, sort of their take on the J Rockett Archer Ikon, which even has a look very similar to the J Rockett. It's my favorite affordable Klon style pedal. I like it more than the Tone City Bad Horse, the Joyo Tauren, the other Caline klone, which is the Pegasus, and even the more costly MXR Sugar Drive. It's also MUCH better than the EHX Soul Food, which is the WORST Klon style pedal I've ever tried.

They do awesome power supplies. 10 spots, like $40 AUD. I have 3, a fraction of the cost of Strymon etc, light weight and not heat mobsters. They obviously use clever digital tech, not monster transformers.

Shane I suggest you do one gig with a full Caline board.

I was in the market for a reverb and chorus and was happy (at the time) to invest in affordable pedals. I did have my eye on a JHS3 reverb and a boss CH1 but thought hey, I'll look for cheaper pedals. I checked a few videos out including this one and decided to take the plunge on the Caline Old school reverb (OSR) and the Wave machine (WM). They cost me AUD $79 for the OSR and $55 for the WM. Both pedals arrive and it's time to test them in the chain of my pedalboard. (FYI I run pedals into the front of my Katana 50 Mk2 with an American Standard Tele). First was the WM and like Shane said, it was dead silent. I was impressed with that. Played on a few settings both clean and with overdrive and yeah, it's a standard chorus sound for the price I paid. Agree with Shane there are sweet spots but most pedals are like that. So I'm kind of happy. Next the OSR and as soon as it's powered, I can hear a lot of noise and intermittent buzzing and clicking. I use a 1Spot daisy chain so take it out of the chain and try it solo but it happens again. Thought maybe its the adapter and try another 2 adapters I have. Same thing happens. And it's not the daisy chain or power source issue as all my other pedals are dead silent. So get in touch with the online retailer I bought from and even send a video of what's going on. The guy I'm dealing with agrees it's not right and asks me if I want a refund or new one. I decide on a new one and a few days later my new OSR arrives. Plug it in and there's no more annoying clicking or buzzing. Woo hoo. But, there is noise coming though amp when plugged in. Even in bypass mode. I accept you get what you pay for and at the lower end I'm realistic to know this comes with the territory. The noise isn't excessive but it is noticeable to the point where I don't like it. Add this to the fact I thought the reverb was too tinny and lacked warmth. So the OSR is off my board (not that it really got on) and have decided to get a Boss RV6 after reconsidering the JHS3 reverb. Yeah, I'll keep the WM for a while. So I'm out of pocket for a bit but no drama, I'll live and a few lessons learned. Some people have good luck with affordable pedals and are happy but I guess Caline is not for me. Even after allowing for tempered expectations. That's just my experience with these 2 pedals that I'm sharing and as always, yours may differ. Keep rocking!

Queen Bee "AC/DC" riff was awesome… do you think AC/DC is on the edge of what could be called "HARD BLUES" …? I mean yeah they are Hard Rock… but Angus’s tone is really a raunchy blues sound.

Yoy misrepresent some of the drive pedals, because you're using them to push a tube amp. If you use them with a clean SS or modeling amp you'll find that the Enchanted Tone is the lowest gain (distortion) of the three, with the Queen Bee next, and the Mellow Drive being the highest gain. I'm not talking about output level, but the amount of dirt or distortion they produce (on their own, not driving an amp into distorting more) because it's a known fact that with pedals that have different clipping levels selected by a switch (like the Joyo Zip Amp, Caline Stack Attack, and Wampler Euphoria), the lowest clipping (dirt/distortion setting) will have the highest output level, and the highest one will have the lowest output level. You need to watch Brian Wampler's video where he explains that. It's the same with the many drive pedals that have warm and hot modes- the warm has more dirt, and the hot has less dirt but a lot higher output. You may think the hot mode has more dirt, but it doesn't, it has less. It's just that its higher output level is driving the tubes in your amp harder and causing them to distort more

Wish you'd give yourself license to be more than "just a blues guy". Everything you said was out of your wheelhouse, and when you made jokes about you playing a particular out-there pedal... everything you played sounded amazing and very, very interesting. Like you could actually write amazing songs around the riffs you've already written. I've heard everybody and their grandmother demo these pedals, but the stuff you came up with when "outside your wheelhouse" well, it is the best I've heard. It is actual music. Wish you'd spend some time away from your "blues boys", and instead find some creative musicians to hang out with, I bet you'd create some work that would blind side you, because of its quality, and because of its departure from your safety zone. So serious.
