Dragonlance is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. The first Dragonlance products were released in March 1984 with the Dragon Magazine #83 short story The Test of the Twins by Margaret Weis and the AD&D adventure DL1 Dragons of Despair by Tracy Hickman.
Now, forty years later I would like to invite you to share your thoughts and experiences with Dragonlance through video, writings or art. Please reach out to DLSaga at info@dlsaga for more details.
The release of this project will coincide with the November 1984 release of Dragons of Autumn Twilight, so you have a few months to put your contribution together. I hope to see your contribution featured. Email submissions to info@dlsaga.com.

I love your passion for 'DragonLance'! Efforts like this might be what it takes create the groundswell of attention and re-focus on the 'DragonLance' setting to get Hasbro/D&D to seriously commit to one of, if not their best, IP... whether that be for tabletop gaming products, novels, video games, or hopefully one day, that ever-elusive, big-budget, epic, Hollywood film made with absolute love and care that many of us have been hoping to see in our lifetime. As always... Slàinte Mhath, and remember... "The sun sets only to rise again. Darkness is temporary; hope is eternal".

Absolutely wonderful, I'll keep it short and sweet and send a small synopsis of some material I'm working on. I was in the hospital last week, so my brush with mortality always somehow compels me to get in gear and turn out some really good work during those periods.

I'm really excited about this, it's such a great idea. I've begun work on a short story I'd like to submit, as my art skills never processed past Kindergarten level haha. Hopefully my writing skills will be slightly better than stick figure drawings. Thanks as always for being such a big part of keeping this setting alive!

So I was 15 in 89 when a classmate introduced me to the original trilogy Dragon Lance and i loved them. Sturm's death was just heartbreaking even though I didn't like him as a character (a testament to the brilliant writings of the authors) However my first introduction to D&D was pool of radiance on the C64 in 86. It was the novels that got me into tabletop with 2nd Ed but we never played Dragon Lance. The DM had his own world based on another fantasy novel with a one handed bard as the main character (I wish I could remember that novels' name and google hasnt been helpful) and I went onto DM with Ravenloft. Still have the books, the OT and the Twins, in Omnibus form (regret getting rid of my original 1st printing copies now). Maybe it's time to crack them open again (20 years since I've read them I think?!) in celebration of 40 years. Thanks Dragon Lance you were my LOTR.
