i dont make boom bap but i learned something, but dang i have a question heat. does pitching your snare, kick etc up or down change the key? or in other words maybe, youre drums can be in all different pitches? maybe a dumb question but ey i need to know! thanks

Dope!! Thanks for tuning in my friend. It’s okay for some sounds to be out of key as sometimes things sounds fine and every sound doesn’t need to be directly in key. Unless you can hear a noticeable difference I wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve been creating this way for years. Never had anyone tell me my open hat or hihat was out of key. Hope this helps 💯

I dont do double time on Hiphop or Boombap, to Me your beat is 77bpm and when looking for Hiphop accapellas its going to be from 75 to 100 bpm. Just personal preference, your beaat was fire.

I’ve remixed songs and still been in double time. It’s all a preference thing, as long as it comes out dope thats all that matters.

@@theycallmeheat only thing the MPC still missing is a mouse with Piano Roll. Can you also route like 3 different Kicks through the same FX? Like you would do in FLs Mixerchannels?

@markbruggeman274 yep, you do that by layering the sounds on the same pad. So you can apply the effects all at once. Or to each pad. But everything is the same like in FL except the arrangement style

You have the FL studio Trap producers vs MPC Hardware Boombap producers as the two biggest audiences on RU-vid and everything else that dont fit in will be limited. If He was making Boombap on that MPC Key37 in stand alone, He would get 3x the views or more.
