ellis0896 best character every in call of duty period my two favorite game world at war and Black ops and reznov a big part of it had no idea it was Gary oldman till today
Reznov character is the best. I'm so glad Gary was the voice for him. It's completely amazing, because you could never tell it was him by looking at Gary compared to looking at Reznov.
he may be famous for his role in this game but for me his most remembered for his role in leon, drucula and the 5th element.. and also his part in true romance
No matter how much Halo and Battlefield fanboys bash CoD, it's still going to be one of, if not the, biggest and most notorious game franchises ever. The game obviously isn't shit if it still sells millions within the first few days, maybe even hours. Don't get me wrong, Halo and Battlefield are just as good as CoD, but not as good as Gears of War. I love all three. Except Ghosts. Definitely not Ghosts
TheGodOfGears2012 The Franchise was big and new and awesome and all that shit, but now they release a new title every year, people buy it because of the same reason the people buy iphones. Because there is one or two or let it be three 'new' features AND THEN people suddenly follow the natural instinct that makes them think if there are some little changes, the predecessor is shit. Then there is the rest of the gaming community: -fuck it, it's new, I'll buy -holy shit it'll be the best ever (for suuuuuuuure) -just a new challenge to beat -online gamers who like the CoD mechanics and for them those changes are enough to buy Most of the stuff CoD developers do could be done with just a DLC instead of a full priced game
i just found out that gary oldman was in the dark knight, harry potter, a musician, reznov voice actor and other things i cant remember.. this guy is amazing!
They've also had actors like Kiefer Sutherland and Ice Cube. Treyarch is very good at putting an incredible voice behind the character to make the story as believable as possible.
i swear to god i want this guy's voice it's so distinctive. Reznov, clarke, jack barnes, ignitus. omg he even voiced as lord shen from kung fu panda 2 no wonder i was having a very deja vu moment while lord shen was screaming his head off in the theater
That's probably the best critique of WaW I've ever read. I agree, people did seem to enjoy bashing the storyline, but WW2 had such a massive scope to it that it's virtually impossible to condense a cohesive storyline that's as effective as BlackOps... The voice work definitely gave WaW the juice (so to speak) that saved it from being just another casual, flat-storyline shooter...
Exactly. To make a storyline as tight and interesting as Black Ops, they couldnt have shown as much of the war as they did, and there wouldnt have been much variation with what was happening at any given time. To make a cohesive story, they would have to focus on one battle, maybe two battles at most. There's simply no way World at War could have acheived the scope it was going for if they made a storyline in the sense were used to.
I loved waw so very much because of the music and the voice talents.... I just skipped black ops, but now that I know about Reznov's appaerance, i must get it
@Pogis0808 Thats the talent he has though being able to immerse himself and play any character, any character he plays in films, games are always so different.
@451harri World at war didnt have much of a story in the form were used to, but just the scenes they show, the personality and voice they throw into the characters, the atmosphere.... all of it comes together to form a very engrossing singleplayer arc. You have to give them credit, WWII isnt exactly the best setting to make an engrossing storyline while still remaining true to histroy. They worked very well with what they had, and WaW was one of my favorite CoD's.
@korv118 He's British but he has a long history of playing American characters and for that matter, characters from Russia (COD, Air Force One with Harrison Ford) one of my favorite actors
@IIVikingII i didnt say that he was a voice actor but he suported cod black ops alot in advertising and he also put masons picture on one of his conserts
Its weird looking at him like this bc he looks kinda like an old stoner but I think com. Gordan n its just like woah n that kinda shows how much of an incredible actor he is
World at War...is the best Call of Duty to ME beacuse of the russian campain. when i beat the campain again this morning, i was watching the credits. i have only ever played the online and zombies on black ops.
I didn't really get that bit. Could you explain it please, because I know he came up and gave mason some water but if he's not real then how did mason survive?
sorry, i could've sworn that he said reznov was strategic. last i remember, he was the guy running around with the sub-machine gun firing from the hip and just kinda doing and all out charge
